Blonder & brighter for the spring time
All while keeping it low maintenance and dimensional. The goal was to brighten her hair overall and touch up her new growth, since she had an outgrown balayage going on when she came in. I did some handpainted balayage pieces throughout her hair. She lifted so beautifully that I actually opted to NOT tone her hair.✨

Major color transformation for my girl! Here’s her before & after
Y’ALL.. this head of hair🤩 This was our 2nd session of handpainting. Sessions can be TOUGH, but trusting the process is so important. I’m thankful Lisa trusted both the process and I

She came in with a ton of grow out! The goal was to cut off all her dead ends, do a full balayage on her grow out for a lower maintenance look, and keep it a little warm vs. completely ashing it out.

BLONDE DREAMS. 🌙
Achieved this all from balayage/surface painting. Balayage/Surface painting in one session WON’T look like this or be this bright ^^ for everyone. I think that’s the biggest misconception. Your starting level/base color really and truly plays a HUGEE role (along with your color history as well). My naturally darker haired girls tend to require more than 1 session if they’re trying to get to a bright blonde.
I know I’ve been slacking (hard 🥴) lately on posting content. I keep getting asked if I’m still working or on maternity leave already.. Ya girl is STILL here, working lol. I still have some availability left as well before I officially do begin maternity leave! Including some weekend days & times 😊

We last did her hair 6 months ago and it grew out so much! I did a full balayage/hand painting technique on her to refresh that new growth & cut off 4 inches as well. She’s officially refreshed + revived and

Did a color blocking technique to create the “hidden” color underneath. So when she lifts up her hair you’ll see all the vivid, solid purple.
Using Velvet + a dash of Nightfall
SIDENOTE: ya girl FINALLY got a window suite again 🥲 I’ve missed being able to take my after photos from my room & the excitement is realllll to finally be able to do so again!

Nothing too blonde and bright, but just enough to make it pop.✨ She didn’t want something too light or ashy. Simply because she wanted something less maintenance. Going blonde will require maintenance! Not only will you need to invest in good at-home products, but can you or are you willing to keep up with the maintenance as well? The toning, retouches, etc. This is another key thing to keep in mind before going lighter/to the blonde side. We only did a partial balayage + cut on her hair to create this look.
Full balayage done on her 7 month grow out. Keeping it dimensional 🔑✨
It’s the dimension for meeee✨
It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a blonde mane! Back in January I drove to San Antonio to take a hair painting class by and I’ve been practicing and putting to use what I learned from her. 🤍
Last time we touched on her hair was 7 months ago. So I did a full balayage using the handpainting/balayage technique I learned and I’m in loveee with the dimension it creates. This blonde was built through sessions and proper at home care.
First session of balayage on this mane.
When it comes to going blonde, the number of sessions needed to get there is different for each person. Your current hair color, how well your hair handles the lightener, maintenance, and hair history are all just SOME of the things to consider and factor in whenever deciding to begin the process.

Decided to switch up the pink and do a rooted purple melting into fuchsia. She had 3-4” of new growth, so we first lifted her roots. Then applied Jam + Velvet to her root area and Cupid + Candy + Velvet to the remainder of her hair. Color corrections like this are always sooooo satisfying when it’s all said and done!

Due to inclement weather & power outages the salon will be CLOSED until Friday, 2/19.
I don’t want to risk anyone driving on these unpredictable roads.
EVERYONE STAY SAFE!🙏🏼

P U R P L E balayage. She came in with a faded out purple ombré we did about 7 months ago. I took off over 7 inches, did a partial balayage technique to lift her hair, then colored it using Nightfall + Velvet by Pulpriot to achieve this beautiful purple shade! Keeping it dimensional still🔑

Went for something different & did half of her bangs and part of the side of her hair a baby blue + lavender combo color. We left the other side of her hair alone, with the highlights it already had. We lifted her hair, babylighted in the baby blue pieces, and then colored everything else lavender.

It was time for something new and low not so much maintenance (compared to being blonde). We did a reverse balayage to put some depth back in her hair and toned down all of the hair that was left out. Darker but still D I M E N S I O N A L✨

We hadn’t touched her hair in over a year and a half. She finally made the 3.5 hr drive to Austin to come see me again!🤍 (you the besttt)
We decided to do something subtle, chop off a good 3 inches, and she was 1000% okay with WARMTH. Warmth isn’t a bad thing!! Golden/warm hues are just as pretty and satisfying as ash tones are. I toned her with shadesEQ 9rb,9gi, and 9v.
