For this months staff highlight, we want to focus on our Director of Nursing, who’s been with us for over two years now, Mickey Davis!
Something we always ask our staff is what their favorite memory with the company is, and Mickey brought an especially heartwarming one to us.

“My favorite story is when we had a patient on service who she and her husband had previously been homeless. Our staff, with the help of our community, gathered necessities, linens, toiletries, clothing and pantry items to get them on their feet. It warmed my heart to see our staff pull together to help them in their time of need. Being able to provide her with the medical care she needed but also the daily necessities is what Rainier is all about. We see a need and reach out to our staff and owners to fulfill that need. They always step forward to help our patients.”

Thanks for all you do Mickey, for patients, staff, or anyone you see in need!

Today, we’d love to wish a big happy birthday to our Managing partner and chairman, Mike Cress! He’s extremely passionate about patient care, taking on many responsibilities including serving on the Austin Healthcare Council. Some of his other passions include surfing, as well as quite the love for food, especially fried chicken! He helped bring JT Youngbloods chicken back, keeping it delicious and classy right here in the hill country. All the best to you Mike- The Rainier family.

For this weeks staff highlight, we want to focus on our amazing intake specialist, Nora Tijerina! She has been with us for 10 years, always keeping our office in high spirits and full of laughter! When we asked her what she likes about working for Rainier, she said she loved working for a great company, and having a whole second family.

We’re glad she was with loved ones in her final days, and proud to offer the same comfort she chose to people all throughout central Texas.

This week, we want to highlight our AMAZING Operations Manager, Colin McCormick. He has been with the Rainier family for 8 years now, and is really a jack of all trades for our office. The family and community side of Rainier really goes both ways, as sometimes the patients help us! On Colin’s second day as a Service Technician, he accidentally locked his keys in the van and sure enough, a patient was at the office who just so happened to be a locksmith! Colin says that what he loves about Rainier is “the chance to really impact someone's life for the better and help them get through some difficult times.” Thank you for all you do for us, Colin!
