San Juan Diego Catholic High School opened in August 2002 after Archbishop Gregory Aymond recognized the acute need for Catholic, college preparatory education in Austin. San Juan Diego Catholic High School (SJDCHS) is modeled after Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago, where students work in entry-level positions in the corporate world to earn part of their tuition.
SJDCHS is a community of faith in partnership with the Congregation of Holy Cross, located in the heart of South Austin, minutes from downtown. SJDCHS provides students a private college preparatory education along with an unparalleled corporate internship experience throughout all four years of high school. As a community of faith, we believe that a Catholic, college preparatory education, combined with a corporate work study program, creates spiritual, intellectual, and professional growth for the students we serve. We provide a Catholic education that transcends economic barriers and is accessible to all. We believe that each of our students is a unique gift from God, with the potential to be transformed and to transform others. Our high school students had an absolute blast at the Homecoming Dance, where excitement was in the air as they eagerly awaited the grand reveal of this year's Homecoming Queen and King! 🎉🤩
The dance floor was lit, and the energy was contagious as students celebrated in style. The suspense was real, but so were the fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments created during this special night.

Thank you to UT Austin STRONG for leading the retreat held at San Juan Diego this past weekend. Through participation in spiritual songs, team-building activities, and reflection San Juan Diego students have strengthened their relationship with the Lord.
We would also like to thank the UT Catholic Center as well as Father Jesse from Santa Cruz, dedicated his time to hearing confessions. Additionally, our gratitude extends to San Jose Catholic Church for their warm welcome during the mass.
