I'm so thankful that the beautiful allowed me finish her hair.

Phase 1 was not ideal and definitely looked incomplete.

Phase 2 left her feeling amazing and that's the goal for all of my clients.

What can I say? Her hair is absolutely gorgeous, just like she is.

She wanted to slowly dip back into the color world, so she opted for a subtle and warm balayage. Que linda!

I had the pleasure of helping this momma transition out of a postpartum hair situation.

It's so hard to feel good about yourself after a baby sometimes and I was happy to be involved.

The change was subtle yet transformative.

Revived and rich. I love doing something a little different every once in a while, but it's bittersweet because I get so anxious about how things are going to turn out. I tend to question myself pretty heavily in those moments.

Thankfully I have some patient clients that have major faith in my abilities. It just reminds me that I'm only human and while not perfect, I'm trying my best.

Let's talk TONE CATEGORIES.
Often when consulting with clients on different tone options, I discuss cool, neutral, and warm tones, and many times they're not sure what that may look like.

I put together this diagram to act as a guide. Now you can have a better idea of what to expect in the different categories.

COOL tone- refers to hair color often described as "ashy". Hair will have undertones of blue/gray, or cendré (bluish lavender color) Cooler tones appear darker because they reflect less light, but contain very small amounts of gold, orange, and red.

NEUTRAL tone- refers to hair color often described as "beige" or even "buttery". Beige , cream, sandy are examples of neutral hair color tones.This hair color is exactly as it sounds: right in the middle.

WARM tone- refers to hair color described as yellow, caramel, or red. Shades such as gold, copper, Auburn, or red are very warm tones.
