Feeling stressed? Try deep breathing!
Pause, close your eyes, and concentrate on your breathing. Let your other thoughts and feelings go.
Breath slowly in through your nose and out your mouth.
Try putting your hand on your belly and feeling it rise and fall. Try counting while you breath (e.g. in for 4, out for 6).
Try repeating a mantra like "I am totally calm."
Repeat for a few breath cycles and then notice how you fell.
Repeat again several times throughout the day.
Feel any better?

Covid-19 Update
The current Covid-19 Public Health Emergency is a rapidly evolving situation.
Addiction and Psychotherapy Services is closely following our local situation in the Austin-Travis County Area and changes to the Regulations at our State and Federal levels. We have implemented many changes recommended by the CDC at our clinic to maintain the safety of our patients and staff.
At this time, we are maintaining our normal clinic hours. But…
DO NOT ENTER OUR CLINIC, IF:
***you have fever, cough, or shortness of breath,***
Covid-19 diagnosis or contact with someone who has been diagnosed.
Call (512) 444-5092 to speak to a nurse.
Patients are required to practice “Social Distancing” (6 feet apart) between people on the clinic grounds. Our lobby is currently limited to 2-3 people at a time. We currently do not offer groups.
At this time we are still accepting limited numbers of new patients (see admissions information on our website).
We will inform our patients individually about how these changes will impact their clinic attendance. Patient appointments will continue via telephone
Make sure we have your current phone number on file and try to answer calls with blocked numbers in the case we need to reach you.
Please call your case manager with any questions and check our website and page for updates in this fast evolving situation.

Our clinic’s story
Since 1982, we provide comprehensive opioid addiction treatment to the greater Austin area. We specialized in treatment of complicated patients with multiple psychiatric problems and believe that psychiatric treatment must be integrated into addiction treatment. Our highly qualified staff have been working with people with opioid addiction for years. We are locally owned and operated, started by Dr. Heinz Aeschbach. In 2017, we welcomed Dr. Crispa Aeschbach-Jachmann, Board Certified Psychiatrist, as our new medical director. We firmly believe in the change we see in our patients and sound scientific evidence: methadone and buprenorphine save lives!
