Let’s go ahead and skip the seasonal dryness this month ⛄️

Step 1: if your hair is always dry for these colder months switch your regular conditioner for a moisture mask (my fav is Soulfood by amika)

Step 2: use (hair) oils on your ends every day! I use olaplex oil to make sure my ends stay soft and shiny

Step 3: don’t use dandruff shampoo! If your scalp is flaky it’s usually just dry skin (real dandruff is green and gooey) dandruff shampoo is extremely drying and making your dry scalp worse! Use Amika reset oil instead!

A fool proof way to pick a color is to look at your jewelry! (Yes it’s that easy) ⁣

If you love gold then you’ll probably gravitate towards liking golden warm tones (like this beauty right here) ⁣

And if you love how silver looks on your skin then you may like ashier colors for your hair! ⁣

⛔️ The TRUTH about box color ⛔️

I know times are really scary right now and you want to keep your hair looking fresh af BUT don’t reach for that box dye

Why?!
❌ It’s not because I’m mean and want you to suffer
❌ it’s not because I only care about money- in fact not using box dye will save you money in the long run

.

➡️ as you can see in this picture box dye doesn’t lift out of the hair so you’re going to have to settle for darker highlights until we can strip out this color

.
➡️ it’s made from metallic salt which slowly gnaw at the hair every time we color it making it super damaging over the long run

.
➡️ it’s hella expensive to remove- the process takes hours and hours and is potentially VERY damaging and you might not get your dream hair in one session because your hair is too weak

.

I only tell you this because I love you and the roots aren’t as bad as the alternative (plus no one will see you besides your loved ones anyways) please stay safe and dont f**k with your hair ❤️❤️❤️ @ Austin, Texas

Raise your hand if youve ever thought that a hair mask is just over hyped conditioner 🙋🏼‍♀️

The truth is: there are so many different types of masks out there and you prob just grabbed one that isnt what you need right now

To simplify it; there are 2 types of masks

Moisture 💦 and Protein 🥩

To tell which you need take a look at your ends

If they are drier than the saraha desert you need to grab a moisture mask (like the soulfood nourishing mask)

If your ends are split or breaking off you need protein to help fill in those gaps in your hair (it wont heal split ends tho- the only thing to “fix” split ends is a ✂️) and for that I reccommend the The Kure mask
