Exciting news and a note from our founder 💌.
For the first time ever, Mirror Mirror made the coveted 2022 Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest growing privately held companies in America!
The National list has been a big goal of mine for a long time. We made the regional list for the past two years however, it wasn’t until this year that our revenue hit a benchmark that qualified us to even apply for the national list and play with the “big companies”.
Why is this important? Because our industry as a whole continues to fight for recognition as a “real” business and a worthy career. When salons are recognized alongside other industries it puts a feather in all of our caps that we can be taken seriously.
When I opened Mirror Mirror it was a goal to create an environment that not only made clients love what they see in the mirror but also to create a salon home for the ambitious stylists that wanted it all. 11 years ago I didn’t know what that all meant really or how I would get there. What I know now is that you are never “there” and you have to continue to just beat your personal best! If you focus on that, inch by inch you will improve and evolve as an individual and a business and everyone wins!
The headline for this years list is comprised of incredible companies with incredible resilience. To make the list you have to submit your financials for the past three years and to see that we have (inch by inch) increased our revenue 145% in the past three years is something I am incredibly proud of. I remember that zoom call looking at my team and telling them we would be closing our doors in 2020. We were all scared but we all came together and are so much better for it! I can’t imagine there is a single company on this list that didn’t face similar uncertainties so high five to all of us still putting one foot in front of the other unwilling to give up.
2023 is going to be big for Mirror Mirror and there is still so much work to be done. But today, I am pausing and reflecting and thanking my family, my team and every single client who has walked through our doors!
