I love playing with different props/tools/toys to experience deeper myofascial relationships within the body. Pilates spring loaded apparatus is already such a great practice to aid in Sensing the embryological fascial core connections. The sand bag creates a whole other dimension of grounding, opening and neuroplasticity as it challenges the limbs to stay in a dynamic conversation of continuous response to unsteadiness. “In the middle of my room” Is my new venting energy space. Lots of sitting at a computer these days is literally driving me up the wall. I have not had to be static for work since I was in my 20’s. So hard to sit but necessary to get this business up off the ground! Enjoying working on my back bends again after many years of not. Using the wall as a prop/apparatus for assistance in allowing things to open on their own time. Shoulder stretches do NOT work for these hyper mobile shoulders. Instead of a muscular focus I’m working on finding the fascial support by connecting hands, arms to solar plexus and breath softening my ribs and shoulders. I taught myself gymnastics in my front yard during middle school to become a better cheerleader, but I learned a bad habit of extending from my bendy lumber spine which I did all through my yoga teaching/practice years. I still have to stay aware of maintaining length of lumbar with lower core/back of legs to low belly support and opening from back width of my thoracic spine. Exploring different variations of BOOMerang today in a primal pilates spinal flow class. I honestly had to practice this one myself last night before teaching. It’s been a min. Small barrel was a great way to warm up the spine and assist with finding the back body to front body connections for all the rolling and balancing. It’s a Crab 🦀 Rolling into handstand stir crazy day 🤪 Wednesday’s are my virtual coaching days mixed with all the back end business self-employed computer time literally drives me up the walls needing to MOVE my body! Stepping Up with ease for your KNEES and CORE Integration:

Here’s some Embodied Grounded Core Integration Cues based on the Perspectives of EMBRYOLOGY and our FEET 🦶 as portals to the CORE. What do I mean by Stepping Up with the “whole foot”? And what the heck do I mean when I say the feet are portals to the core?

As a 5D whole fascial body mover, the practice here and always is increasing communication between both legs through what I call CORE COORDINATION.

This practice of feeling the load being shared in the whole foot will help to activate other dormant muscles/fascial connects that may not be coming to the table in the weight bearing leg during step ups. This way of thinking and exploring can lead to experiencing the stepping up leg being moved by gravity’s ground reaction/lift energy versus fighting it.

Often the mound/ball of the big toe loses it’s engagement to the earth and there goes your inner supportive gravity based muscles such as the inner thigh/adductors, lower glutes and upper hamstrings that spark the uplifting domes from feet to pelvic floor to cranium which lightens the load considerably.

Can you see how now the quads and hip flexors don’t have to do as much work easing knee and low back pain of over effort and compression?

A great practice is standing on one foot balancing and slow marching. Hmmm I guess another video is in order 🙂
