What does it take to truly transform a school district’s approach to health and wellness?
It goes far beyond just delivering a curriculum. On June 23rd, we’re hosting a webinar on how the top CATCH.org users (CATCH Trailblazers!) are making it happen.
These CATCH Trailblazers are Health and PE Teachers and Coordinators at different stages of their careers and from varying sized districts. Despite children living in rural US areas having 26% greater odds of being affected by obesity compared to those living in urban areas, the implementation of evidence-based programs in rural schools is rare. CATCH Global Foundation is on a mission to change that.
The CATCH approach: We focus on engaging and fun classroom learning, school health policies, and family engagement to make healthy choices more accessible for youth no matter the size or location of their town.

Small family routines make a lasting impact.
Healthy habits are more likely to stick when youth experience them in more than one place, at school, at home, and in their communities. Shared meals, movement together, conversations, and other simple daily routines all help reinforce the healthy habits students are learning throughout the school day.

Imagine what your school community would look like if everyone were supported in mind, heart, and body. If this process didn’t add unnecessary work to your load and...actually felt fun? At CATCH, our PreK-12 health education programs are continually evolving to meet teachers, public health professionals, and community health leaders where they are.
We understand communities are often operating with limited time, staffing, and funding. That's why we focus on evidence-based practices, active engagement and easy implementation, as well as sustained support from our team of experts.
Getting started with CATCH is simple. Let us know a little bit about your community, and we’ll connect you with the right person to support your team’s success. https://catch.org/contact-us/

Simple habits are often the ones that stick.
At CATCH, we spend a lot of time thinking about what actually works in real classrooms. Programs like Ray and the Sunbeatables are designed to fit into everyday school routines. Asynchronous training is available to support educators, and ready-to-use lessons help students create healthy habits they can carry beyond the classroom.
With a great partner like UT MD Anderson Cancer Center alongside us, this program is both evidence-based and free for schools to use. We've seen it work well in afterschool programs and summer camp settings as well.
After all, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States and worldwide, and most skin cancer is highly preventable!

A huge thank you to the hundreds of educators and public health professionals who joined us for our webinar yesterday, "When Students Lead, Prevention Works." This reinforced our understanding that whether you're in a small rural school district or one of the largest in the country, student leadership is key to a vape-free, healthy future.
After two years of co-developing and piloting our CATCH My Breath Students-Teach-Students model with Eastern Idaho Public Health, we are proud to share the results. By empowering students to lead, we aren't just teaching a curriculum, we are fostering an environment where prevention actually sticks.
Missed the live session? We’ll be sharing the recording soon. In the meantime, join our next training on June 16th to bring this model to your community! https://www.tickettailor.com/events/catchmybreath

One week away! 1.63 million students are still using e-cigarettes. Prevention isn’t just about information anymore, it’s about influence.
We’re hosting a discussion between education and public health leaders on how our CATCH My Breath Students-Teach-Students model is driving real change in engagement and school culture.
If you’re working in prevention or education, this is a conversation worth joining.
