A very negative review of Best Nails was released recently and all of the workers at Best Nails were saddened to learn that this customer misunderstood our Vietnamese language and humor. It is true that when this customer could not find a misplaced nail color she wanted, one of our employees said “What color?” and I answered “Yellow” as I often do when I hear that question. Or I might say green or blue or purple as a little joke—that is always my intention with any customer—to bring a little humor to their visit. I never said the word “banana”. Maybe she misunderstood our language when I was conversing with my coworkers. Maybe she misunderstood our usual humorous conversation that was certainly NOT directed at her and was not spoken with any ill intent toward anyone at any time during her visit. We have a policy to treat our customers with care and respect. This applies to all customers at all times and is certainly true in this case. I wish I could have said this to her when she came back to the shop to let us know her feelings about what she thought I said but I was so surprised about the misunderstanding that I did not know what to say at the time. We wish her the very best and want her to know she is always welcome at Best Nails.

Nail Tip: Gel polishes bonds to the porous part of your nail, allowing you a longer lasting manicure. If you experience any lifting, it is best to return to your nail tech for a fix or it may be time for a manicure. Peeling the gel off yourself may lift a layer of your nail plate causing weak, thin or peeling nails in your future.

Nail Tip: Baby it's cold outside! Protect your skin and cuticles from the harsh weather with this easy to do. Warm a small bottle of lotion in a bowl of hot (not boiling) water. Add a few drops of cuticle oil to 2-3 pumps of lotion and massage all over your skin, hands and feet.

When sandal season comes back around, you'll be glad you did this. Cuticle oils are also available for purchase at Best Nails for only $5.
