We Are Blood has now implemented new FDA guidance lifting geographic risk-based deferrals for vCJD! Individuals previously deferred for having lived or traveled in Europe may now be able to donate! The Holiday Season has officially begun, and that means two things for Central Texas: holiday shopping is in full swing, and there is a need for blood donations from now through the holiday season! We Are Blood mourns the recent loss of our friend, colleague, and inspiration, Eric Von Lehmden.

Eric was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and tireless servant to his community. As a cancer survivor, mentor, and coach, he was a light in the lives of everyone he met.

Eric served as We Are Blood’s communications manager through extraordinary challenges in our community and saved thousands of lives with his creativity and commitment.

We seek to honor and remember Eric every day through our actions. We love you, Eric!

It's back, baby! Courtesy cholesterol testing for donors has returned.

Since November 7th, every donor will receive a courtesy non-fasting cholesterol test when donating, with results available two days later in your donor portal.
