One of our signature Bell and Bird designs. This solitaire ring features a main round old European cut diamond surrounded by 8 single-cut diamonds subtlety peeking out from underneath the main stone. There are two additional single cut diamonds at the base of the whisper thin, hand filed knife edge band. Set in our 18k old gold. This example showcases a deeply crowned 2.51 carat old mine cut diamond.⁠

We’ve always been drawn to the girandole motif. Here are two pieces from the catalogue that we would love to highlight.

18th century Iberian topaz necklace. A scarce example of a precious topaz necklace dating to the 18th century.  Each stone is foil-backed in sterling silver. The necklace is removable from the pendant, allowing it to be worn as a brooch. In the period, it would have been convertible into a stomacher, worn sewn on a gown or a ribbon high on the neck.  Portoguese in origin. Circa 1780.

19th century gold girandole earrings. Light and airy antique earrings in a classical girandole motif.  Light in weight in 18k gold with modern ear wires. Italian in origin. Circa 1850.

Beautiful matched old European cut diamonds in silver topped 14k gold cutdown settings with lever backs. The primary stones weigh 2.22 carats and 2.05 carats. Two additional old European cut diamonds combine for an approximate total weight of 4.37 carats. Hallmarks indicate an Austo-Hungarian origin. Circa 1900.⁠

Two fabulous Art Deco pieces paired together. Striking Belle Epoque emerald and diamond ring. The emerald is estimated to be 2.5 carats and certified to be of Columbian origin with minor traditional treatment. The filigree setting is finely executed with two old European cut diamonds weight approximately 2.5 carats combined, surrounded by additional single cut stones. Circa 1910. ⁠

This ring was inspired by Victorian snake rings that were made to represent internal love. A central antique old mine cut diamond is set in the head along with two round cut diamonds for the eyes. The antique pear shaped diamond weighs 0.30 carats with an approximate I color and vs clarity. ⁠

The form of the ring is entirely hand fabricated (not cast) and no two will be exactly alike. ⁠
⁠

Classic three-stone ring with a cushion cut sapphire and two old European cut diamonds. The primary stone is a cushion cut 4.51 carat sapphire, no heat, Ceylon in origin. The sapphire is paired with two old European cut diamonds, 1.13 carats in total diamond weight, H color, and VS clarity. Handmade in our 18k old gold with a simple squared band.

Handmade in our Texas workshop, this ring is in our custom blend of 18K rose gold. A more subdued, darker tone than commercially available rose gold. We call this color "old gold" and created the alloy in the spirit of the many 19th century rings we have handled.

A signature Bell and Bird design. A central old European cut diamond in a simple four-prong setting with bezel set vertical baguettes. This ring features an antique diamond of 2.21 carats, I color, and VS2 clarity, paired with two baguettes of approximately .26 carats in total weight, also G color, and VS2 clarity. Handcrafted in our 18k old gold.
