Pectus excavatum is a chest wall deformity where the breast bone sinks inward and can cause shortness of breath and chest pain. CTVS thoracic surgeons specialize in total chest wall reconstruction, called a Ravitch procedure, to reshape the sternum for patients that experience symptoms. Watch the video to learn more.
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is extremely common in diabetics, and if left untreated, PAD can cause serious ulcers or non-healing wounds on the legs or feet, infection or gangrene, and in extreme cases, even loss of limbs.
