I cracked the code on the perfect Austin summer plan and I’m not gatekeeping!
Every Friday and Saturday night, the rooftop pool deck at turns into Sunset Sessions. I’m talking live DJ sets, cocktails, and golden hour views right in the middle of downtown. The cherry on top, is that you don’t have to be a hotel guest to get in.
is the hotel’s 5th floor indoor-outdoor restaurant, and during Sunset Sessions the space is open to the public. Just RSVP (on Eventbrite) and show up.
The vibe is exactly what you want for a summer night, good music, a non chaotic crowd, and views that make you want to stay longer than planned and food actually delivers.
Wood-fired seafood, fresh tortillas off the comal, ceviches, fajitas, and the best nachos plus frozen margaritas and small-batch mezcal.
If you want to secure your spot, cabanas are available ($350 minimum, up to 8 people), but otherwise it’s first come, first serve.
A few things to know before you go:
Fridays & Saturdays, 6–10PM
Located on the 5th floor pool deck at Austin Proper
RSVP does not guarantee entry
Weather dependent, so check before heading out
Go early if you want to get in and get a lounger
📌 Save this for your next Austin night and follow for more cool activities!

This whole look is from and it’s exactly my vibe lately classy, a little fun, and still very put together. ✨The kind of outfit that just does what it needs to do without trying too hard. I’ve been leaning into pieces like this more for nights out… something that feels elevated but still effortless (and looks good in every lighting, because let’s be real) I love that I get to switch things up, try different styles, and still feel like myself without buying something I’m only going to wear once which… I’m actually notorious for doing. Would you wear this for date night?
This night deserved a reality show edit… and honestly, it delivered. We’re on a pedicab trying to get to … next thing you know, brakes slam because there are photographers everywhere outside
and that was just the beginning!
Because somehow it only got more dramatic from there…we finally make it inside, and then realize we have to go ALL the way down to our section,in six inch heels…like… why did I do this to myself… Am I the drama? probably…
But then everything shifted, we get greeted by our host, checked in, and introduced to the Bunker Club and suddenly the entire experience feels completely different. Private spaces, no chaos, no long lines… just a more elevated way to actually enjoy the night and once we made it to our seats, it all made sense.
absolutely shut it down! The energy, the production, the crowd… nonstop. So yes, the journey there? slightly chaotic, but the experience? 100% worth it, and now I fear regular concert nights just won’t hit the same.
There’s going to a concert, and then there’s actually making a night out of it! ✨
We started our night off at and it completely set the tone before heading over to the
Located inside the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on UT’s campus an unexpected setting for a restaurant that feels this elevated. The space is polished yet relaxed, and the menu is thoughtfully curated, making it an ideal place to ease into the night rather than rush through it.
What stood out most was how seamless the experience felt.
With the Moody Center just minutes away either a short ride or even a quick pedicab there was no need to think about parking or timing really. It’s one of those details that quietly changes the entire flow of the evening.
If you’re planning a concert night out in Austin, start at to make the entire experience, because between the service and the carefully curated menu the night will feel like it was made just for you!

Booking Amsterdam? Don’t just pick a “cute” hotel and hope for the best… location here will make or break your entire trip.
I put together a list across price points, from splurge stays to more budget-friendly options that are all in good areas and actually worth considering:
📍Avani Museum Quarter — $$
Clean, modern, and worth it. Bright, minimal stay in the Museum Quarter, perfect if you want something calm, polished, and still close to everything.
📍Anantara Grand Krasnapolsky — $$$
Iconic stay in the heart of it all. Right on Dam Square with grand interiors and a true central location. Ideal for first-timers who want to be in the middle of everything.
📍The Pulitzer — $$$
The most cinematic Amsterdam stay. 25 canal houses connected in the Jordaan, steps from Nine Streets. Feels like you’re living inside a postcard.
📍Hotel Esthéréa — $$
Romantic canal views done right. Charming, elegant stay along the canal belt with cozy interiors and one of the prettiest settings in the city.
📍Hotel Mercier — $$
Boutique charm with personality. Intimate Jordaan stay with a unique, design-forward feel, perfect if you want something quieter but still walkable.
📍Amsterdam Canal Hotel — $
Classic canal stay. Intimate boutique stay along the canal belt with easy access to museums and central Amsterdam, great if you want the location without the splurge.
All of these are in walkable neighborhoods (or close enough that you won’t feel stuck commuting your entire trip).
Save this for your Amsterdam trip ✅ so you don’t have to second guess where to stayand follow for more travel!

I spent 48 hours in Amsterdam and honestly? This city surprised me in ways I didn’t expect. From the bike culture (it’s REAL) to the food scene (way better than anticipated) to the hotel situation (tiny but make it chic), here’s everything you actually need to know before you go.
What visitors need to know:
📍 Location Matters: Stay in Museum Quarter or De Pijp—skip the tourist center chaos. We stayed at Museum Quarter and loved the vibe.
✈️ Flying KLM: The Dutch national airline makes getting there SO easy. Affordable flights, smooth experience, and Schiphol Airport is only 20 min from the city.
🚲 Bike Capital: Amsterdam has 880,000 bikes for 820,000 residents. As a pedestrian, you’ll learn FAST! bikes have the right of way. Watch those bike lanes!
🏨 Hotels Are Tiny: Like, European small. Beautiful design, narrow staircases, compact rooms. It’s charming but be prepared.
🍕 The Food Scene: Amsterdam’s food scene is SO GOOD. Way better than expected! Elevated brunch, cozy dinners, even great boba. Eat in the neighborhoods, not the tourist center.
🛍️ Thrifting Gold: Hit up Vintage Outlet and Second Life for designer pieces and curated finds. Amsterdam’s thrift scene doesn’t disappoint.
🚤 Canal Tours: Do it…it’s touristy but iconic. Book an open-air boat if you want clear photos. Enclosed boats have window reflections (learned that the hard way).
⭐️ All must-experiences for any Amsterdam visitor!
P.S.- Don’t rent a car. Parking is expensive, tight, and completely unnecessary. The city is walkable and the trams are easy.
