It's been a bit, both since a post and since an event. Lotta reasons, mostly my own personal health in 2019, then... well, y'know.

The bail project is a non-profit dedicated to ending the cash bail system. This isn't the place to go into why cash bail is bu****it, and I'm not an expert, but please check them out if you're curious why it's such a common topic of conversation associated with the protests going on currently.

So what about Dual Core?

Dual core was the latest addition to our lineup, and this will also be their first time gracing our stage. We met them originally at PAX South 2018, and given that I got my start in my current career at a digital security company, I have a particular fondness for the hacker/security inspired nerd wrap they sometimes deploy. That being said, I think I probably would have to pick "Natural 20s" for my favorite song.

So let's talk about Bitforce.

Surprisingly (and surely an oversight on our part!) Bitforce has yet to grace the stage at a Hometown Throwndown. We've worked with them at our last SXSW showcase, and on the PAX South Jamspace, but we've never hosted them personally before, and we're excited to finally get the opportunity to do so! Also, a little bird told us that Joseph will be celebrating his birthday that night. Come out and make him feel special! This Saturday, August 25th!

I know we have a throwdown coming up this weekend, and y'all need to get hyped up for that and come through, but let's take a hot second and congratulate our boy EyeQ (Chris Allen) for winning Orlando Weekly's 2018 Best Hip-Hop Act.
