The 'Christmas Narrative' of Luke Chapters 1 and 2 is very familiar, as is the way it's most often taught. The following podcast, particularly the first 20 minutes, may offer rich nuances that you haven't been exposed to. Euphemism, n. "a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing."
Today's example: Our declining culture's most egregious, unpleasant embarrassment, and our most ridiculous euphemisms:
"Reproductive Healthcare" and "Basic Human Right" substituted for "Abortion". Abortion can never be honestly couched as healthcare, can never qualify as a basic human right. Stay alert, words matter...
