Named for a particularly influential late night HBO flick of the same title, CHERRY 2000. Something about the vibe of the song just made me think of that, and so there ya go.

In Cherry 2000 the film, Melanie Griffith plays a badass grifter who resides in the post-apocalyptic wasteland outside of society. A man has lost his robot companion and so he hires Melanie as his guide. She's basically a female Mad Max. It's pretty awesome.

Two variant versions of what will presumably be the cover art for my Dune concept album, HOW YOU DUNE (like how you doin; it’s a pun title).

Given that Dune is once again in the spotlight, I should probably wrap this project up. That, or wait til 2023 when the second part of the newer Dune films drops.

I have enough songs for an EP. I had wanted to add some vocal work to some of them but it’s not entirely necessary. For instance, I have a tune titled “Atreides”, and I have this line bouncing in my head:

“It’s kinda crazy how all the ladies love Paul Atriedes…”

(I think by “ladies”, I’m referring here to the Bene Gesserit and by “love”, referencing Paul’s destiny as the chosen-one-messiah-guy.)

See? Not critical but could be fun.

I freestyled a nifty little ditty over a beat by the b-boys at Bandlab. Would have posted earlier if it weren’t for a bout of depression, unrelated, in the interim.

The lyrics I came up with are basically about time travel and the dangers in hopping timelines. 😊
