Some insight on our partnership with HOPE Outdoor Gallery. To celebrate Red Bull BC One’s return to the Lone Star State and showcase the region’s contribution to the break culture, Red Bull teamed up with Texas native, first ever Red Bull BC One World Champion and Houston cypher judge, Hope 4 Hip Hop, to release a short film that tells the story of how his winning Red Bull BC One in 2004 changed the trajectory of his career and led him to take his skills and talent and pay them forward in to the community where he grew up. Speaking to his co-creation of Hope 4 Hip Hop, a collective of Texans with over 20 years of involvement in the hip hop culture, creating a dance community where they are shaping and mentoring up-and-coming talent in the breaking landscape.

March 27th, 2021 we are hosting the Texas Breakin Open in Austin, TX. Preliminaries video submission Finals Real Battles. Categories: Youth 1vs1 (5-12) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals Teen 1vs1 (13-17) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals Adult Bboy 1vs1 (18+) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals Adult Bgirl 1vs1 (18+) - Details TBA Prelims will be conducted via video submission . Top 16 of each category will be selected to compete in-person in Austin, TX at the Texas Breakin' Open. Negative Covid-19 test will be required to compete. We will have STRICT protocols in place to keep everyone safe. Minors will be allowed to have a guardian with them. Outdoor cyphers will not require a Covid-19 test. Along with our partners, Hope 4 Hip Hop is monitoring Covid-19 and will comply with both local and state authorities. Texas Breakin' Open will be a closed event. All staff, partners and event participants will be required to wear mask, practice social distancing, complete a temperature check and a Covid-19 questionnaire administered by a public health safety officer (EMT) prior to their participation at the Texas Breakin' Open. The event will operate on a strict schedule to ensure we follow venue capacity regulations.
