TMJ DISORDERS

Your jaw's temporomandibular joint functions as a shock absorber when it's functioning properly. However, if you overly grind your teeth or chew, the cartilage in your joint can wear down and become misaligned, and the surrounding muscles will become sore. This prevents our temporomandibular joint from performing its function properly, which might cause discomfort or pain.

Around us, the world is starting to slow down with the arrival of colder weather. The growth of plants slows or stops entirely during the winter. Have you ever wondered why plants must halt growing in the winter? Plants also struggle in the cold, just like we do.

Yin is the night, whereas Yang is the day. Yang is movement, whereas Yin is stillness. Yin represents restoration, while Yang is productivity. We should be a combination of the two to maintain our well-being, balance, and tranquility. The season of Yin is winter. The Earth is in its period of rest, darkness, and, most significantly, conservation. In order to recreate the burst of Yang energy that will breach the seedling and drive it up through the soil to reach the sunlight at the end of winter, it must first go through this period of consolidation. Yang needs Yin to exist.

Our brain encourages our body to increase its insulin resistance as the seasons change. In order to prepare for winter, our liver can produce more fat, and our adipose and non-adipose tissues can store fat. While we prepare by accumulating fat in our bodies, animals prepare for winter by saving their winter food.

Changes in activity with the seasons are natural and beneficial to our health, our way of life, and the way we carry out our tasks, as shown by nature, philosophy, and science. Our physical, mental, and personal growth all depend on keeping a healthy sense of balance in our lives.
