I worked my tail off…. 🤦🏻♀️
Yesterday was another day of driving too many miles. I drove over 100 miles to do 10 deliveries on Uber Eats to earn a $26 bonus.
At the end of the day I made $126 but… my car gets 22.5 mpg so I burned just under 5 gallons of gas at $4.59 a gallon which is $22.95 ish.
Which means I earned about $1 a mile but the time it took me to earn that was 6 hrs which is about $17 an hour.
Now listen…. I’m not complaining. I’m grateful for the opportunity to earn anything. 💯
I’m showing the realities of doing this hustle.
On the flip side, I had one of the better weekends of sales Ive had in a while! 🎉
I sold 11 items on eBay and 3 on Posh. I do another post with that breakdown.
I have another potential income stream I’m going to share in another post so stay tuned for that! 👀

Today was much better than the Saturday I had two weeks ago….
I have no choice but to get back to gigging doing deliveries after not working for two weeks.
Today I made some poor choice of orders to accept and ended up driving far too many miles which extended my drive time without orders. I went too far from home a couple times today.
I did manage to hit a yard sale this morning and scored a bunch of NWT clothes for .50 cents and shoes for $2! Also got a new contact out of it for a possible bulk buy for some great Whatnot items!
I got home made dinner and now I’m exhausted. My wrist is hurting pretty bad still and three of my fingers are numb. I’ll be asking the Ortho about that on Tuesday.
I also sold four things so far today - 1 on Posh and 3 on eBay.
Hope everyone had a great Saturday!
Shard how your day was! 👇

How to cut down on “item received damaged” return claims…. 👀
If you’ve been selling long enough you’ve likely had one of these claims.
I know it’s possible items can get damaged in transit but when you know you packaged the item in such a way that it isn’t likely, you can become suspect of the claim. 🤨
I’m not saying all buyers are out to scam sellers, but we all know it happens. They break theirs, order a replacement and then try to claim it arrived broken. 😠
I take a lot measures to protect myself but have also started including the following message to my buyers, along with photos of the different stages of packing the item.
“Hello and thank you so much for shopping with me!
Your Crock Pot lid will be shipped today — packed with care as shown. ✨
Once it arrives, if you’re happy with your purchase and my service, your positive feedback means the world (and I’ll gladly return the favor!). 🌟
If you suspect the lid has been broken in transit, you will need to provide full pictures of the box, the lid and damage to the package and you will be required to take the entire package as received to the post office for inspection in order to receive a refund. I do recommend if you suspect damage to videotape opening the package.
Thanks again for supporting my small shop — I truly appreciate your business!

Now I know some will say that this is overboard or time consuming or that I’m asking too much from the buyer…
You’re probly right.
But, I believe by letting the buyer know ahead of time that it won’t be easy to pull one over on me, I’ll save myself some false claims. 🤷🏻♀️
This is also often what USPS requires for a damaged item claim to be paid.
What do you think? 🤔
How I feel on the daily about my progress lol 😆
Just keep pedaling!!!

Last year I hit $9,910 on my rolling 90 day total on eBay and I swear that number has been haunting me ever since. 😂
Today though… I finally crossed back over the $8k mark again at $8,004. 🙌
And honestly, I’m proud of it. 🎉
Especially because I have NOT been listing the way I know I should. Life has been life-ing and this broken wrist situation has slowed me down way more than I want it to.
But this is proof that small steps still move you forward.
One listing matters.
One sale matters.
One relist matters.
One trip to the thrift matters.
People see numbers like this and some wish they were there too and others think that number is nothing.
I’m still pushing towards that $10k goal!
What’s a goal you’ve been chasing that you haven’t hit YET… but refuse to give up on? 👇

Just a little FYI for my fellow resellers because this one caught me off guard…😲
If you’re trying to list baby gear like a BabyBjörn baby carrier on Poshmark and it won’t let you… you’re probably not doing anything wrong. 😅
Apparently Poshmark restricts a lot of baby and child safety items due to liability and safety regulations. Things like baby carriers, car seats, cribs, walkers, etc. can get flagged or removed.
Meanwhile I’m over here like… “It’s literally just a baby carrier.” 😂
So before you waste 20 minutes fighting the app, editing the title 14 times, changing categories, and questioning your sanity… it may just be prohibited on the platform.
• Poshmark generally restricts many baby safety items outright.
• eBay allows some baby carriers, but certain juvenile products can still be restricted, removed, or affected by safety/recall policies.
• Restrictions can depend on recalls, product category, condition, and compliance rules.
Honestly sometimes reselling feels like every platform has its own secret rulebook that nobody actually gives you. One app says an item is perfectly fine, another acts like you’re trying to smuggle contraband through customs. 😂
Moral of the story:
Before sourcing certain baby products, definitely double check platform policies first so you don’t end up with inventory you can’t move where you planned.
Learn something new in reselling every single day.
Hope this saves somebody a headache today.
Update: It’s been 10 days since I fell and broke both bones in wrist.🤦🏻♀️
The ulnar had a small fracture and the recess a radial distal comminuted fracture … meaning broken in more than two pieces. 😣
Today’s visit to check to see if the bones had moved to determine if I’d need surgery.
They had tilted backwards somewhat but the Ortho said not enough to warrant surgery at this time and as long as they stay there I’ll be good.
I have to go back again next Tuesday for another round of xrays and if they haven’t moved, then I’ll just have to wear the cast for two more weeks after that.
I’ll probly still have to wear some kind of brace after that I’m sure, but I’m just taking it one step at time.
No surgery for now is a massive win!
It still hurts really bad and being extremely claustrophobic it can give me bouts of anxiety that I have to work through. A cool breeze from a fan or the hair dryer on cool really helps.
My biggest concern is that these breaks may impede my wrist mobility or cause arthritis, but I’m staying positive and praying for no complications in the future. 🙏
Not having insurance I have to self pay for these appointments and I’m not really comfortable driving enough to do deliveries for Uber just yet.
Each appt cost me $202. I want to thank those of you who have “Bought Me A Coffee” or sent support through Venmo while I’m trying to recover from this setback.
Your generous support means the world to me! 🥰
Also, thank you to everyone for all the messages, prayers, encouragement and love you’ve all shown me!
