Miley Cyrus Breaks Silence on Her “Surprise” Engagement
Miley Cyrus has officially confirmed she’s engaged to longtime boyfriend Maxx Morando. Speaking on Good Morning America, the 33-year-old singer said Morando pulled off a full surprise proposal — something she admitted is hard to do with her. She said she “of course” said yes and showed off the chunky gold ring he chose.
Cyrus and Morando, who have been together for four years, stepped out at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere on December 1, where fans first spotted the ring. She said her new song “Dream as One,” written for the film, mirrors the growth of their relationship and how they’ve learned to “dream the biggest” together.
The couple first sparked dating rumors back in 2021 after being seen together backstage at her New Year’s Eve special. Now, Cyrus says she’s grateful for the privacy they’ve managed to keep and is stepping into this next chapter feeling “aligned” in both life and love.
