Smile transformations are so much more than a simple makeover. They completely change the confidence game! When you love your smile, you share it more! The more you smile, the more endorphins are released! The positive benefits keep building on each other!

Someone told us recently that every year, on their birthday, they give themself the gift of setting up all their preventative care appointments for the next year (dental, vision, physicals, etc). 📅 We thought this was such a great idea! Does anyone else do something similar?

We wanted to take a moment to highlight a few of the delicious foods and drinks that make your teeth EXTRA happy!

💧 Water - Water is so good for you, we will keep saying it. Good hydration helps us have good healthy saliva. Healthy salivary flow is good for the teeth and the gums!

🍎 Apples - Apples and other hard fibrous fruits can help clean your teeth as you bite into them. Watch out for apple juice, though, which usually has added sugar.

🥬 Leafy Greens - Spinach, kale and other leafy greens are rich in calcium, folic acid and other vitamins and minerals that your teeth and gums love.

Viewing a patient’s anatomy in 3D gives Dr. Bell the ability to diagnose proper treatment that is not possible using a standard two- dimensional digital image. Using the 3D image, Dr. Bell is able to place implants and seat crowns with more ease and accuracy as well as using the image to properly diagnose and identify bone and gum disease.

Cone Beam 3D Digital Scanner *this is something we’ve been asked about and we want to answer some of the questions*

The Prexion 3D cone beam is a newer 3D technology that we have been using in our office since March 2011. We are early adaptors of 3D technology and are very proud and pleased to provide this innovative service for our patients’ routine dental care. With a 19-second, low dose scan we are able to capture an extremely accurate 3D image that enables us to see anywhere from missing/impacted teeth to bone quality and gum disease.

In recent years, the dental field has experienced a profound advancement in technology that our office strives to achieve in order to provide excellent patient care. One advantage of The Prexion 3D scan is that the dosage is up to 10 times less than what is used in hospital settings. The scan operates by having a C- arm rotate 360 degrees around your head; while the arm rotates it is capturing multiple images of your head with different angles. These images are then reconstructed to create a 3D image of your internal anatomy.

We get it, coffee makes us smile, too! In these colder months, we find ourselves sipping on coffee, hot cocoa and other fun beverages! ⁣

Here are some of our "pro tips" to keep your smile healthy and happy. Try to drink your coffee in one sitting instead of small sips throughout the day to prevent the bacteria buildup and drink a big glass of water afterward to rinse your mouth and teeth.
