Still abuzz over what an incredible weekend I had. MBUR played our first festival, and WOW - great vibe, great crowd, and my band f*ckin smashed it.

Among the hardest hit are our talented musicians and arts community, who have lost irreplaceable instruments, equipment, and rehearsal or studio spaces. We’re Jack and Maja Burton. Musicians from Austin Texas who moved to Valencia Spain in 2016. We’re grateful that so many have reached out to check on us. We were unaffected and our friends are safe as well, thank God. But many of our friends in the local music and arts scene have been directly affected. So we have set up this campaign in hopes that our colleagues from the ATX music scene and beyond, as well as anyone who supports the arts, can give some direct support to the often overlooked, underserved and under supported arts scene. This is a grassroots thang. At least to begin with, we will be identifying folks in need through our local friends, bandmates and their connections and do our best to distribute support quickly and fairly, with verification of loss be it gear, time, space, or clean up costs. We’ll do our best to document and report who is being blessed by your support and how so. I’ve set the bar low cuz I’ve never run one of these crowd funding campaigns before and I just wanna make sure we at least hit the goal. And quickly so the GFM algorithms will push it into the higher visibility pages. I know us Musos don’t have a ton of bread to throw around but I know we also take care of each other.
