Finally, back on stage. Thank you Mathews Elementary for allowing Ballet Folklorico MariCruz to hold it's Annual Recital at your campus. Thank you parents and dancers for your hard work and dedication. You are what makes BFMC special. This year's BFMC ornaments were created by Crafty Shorty Creations, Chris Banda. They were a hit. We are looking forward to a great new year. Viva la danza!

Cinco de mayo commemorates Mexico defeating the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla. This week Ballet Folklorico MariCruz would have been celebrating our culture passed down from our abuelas, abuelos, tios, tias and mamma and papa. Traditions that we are so proud to share.

Feliz dia internacional de la danza.

Yes. Ms. Maria misses her dancers dearly.

This is the first time in 18 years that Ballet Folklorico MariCruz will not be touring AISD and other nearby schools for Cinco de mayo. Our group is meeting weekly. Everyone is doing well. Ms. Maria misses them dearly and the dancers miss the opportunity for sharing their culture with neighboring students. But our passion for our culture is still alive and well.
