Finally got this finished up, my Mickey inspired cuckoo.
A clean, simple cuckoo made from a mid 80s cuckoo. Multiple coats of dark metallic red and clear lacquer really shine

From pulling clock out of the junk pile to being one of my favorites!
This was a fun project. I need a pair of cuckoo clock weights to replace ones missing from a clock. Instead of ordering new ones I cast a set. Here are a few pics of the sand casting process.

Restored this early to mid 50s cuckoo clock: replaced a broken arbor and worn out winding click along with a thorough cleaning and oiling. Repaired and recovered the flute bellows. Refinished the case and added a custom made cuckoo door with the initial of the the young man who will be the new owners of this clock.
