Happy Solstice! Here's the Sun putting on its best happy shining face for the special occasion, from the Splendor Solis (The Splendour of the Sun), a 16th-century German alchemical treatise.

Less than two weeks from now, we'll be celebrating together at Cerny Park!

Take a look at everything Warrenville Friends of the 4th has planned for our two-day Independence Day celebration on July 3 and 4 when you click on the flyer below.

These hometown traditions happen because people in Warrenville come together to make them possible. Whether you donate your time or make a financial contribution, every act of support helps create a memorable celebration for the community.

Want to help?

Financial donations are accepted year-round. Checks may be dropped off at City Hall, or you can use the QR code on the flyer to donate through PayPal.

Volunteers are still needed during the event. Even a couple of hours can make a difference. Email [email protected] or contact Warrenville Friends of the 4th through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WarrenvilleFriendsOfThe4th to get connected with activity coordinators.

Some of the biggest volunteer needs include:
• Beer & Wine Tent servers
• Children's Parade helpers, including volunteers to inflate and distribute balloons

Thank you to everyone who helps keep this community tradition going strong. We look forward to celebrating with you July 3 and 4 at Cerny Park!

I had a great meeting with Executive Director, Yahayra Argueta of the Aurora Downtown District to discuss community partnerships and downtown business development.

Exciting things are ahead—stay tuned for August First Fridays and The Kids Krew, a new monthly pop-up with fun themed activities for kids and families!
