CJ was hit by a car Wednesday night. We got him in this morning for scans which showed a lot of damage. He was recommended two options: refer to another veterinary hospital who could do a more advanced procedure to save the leg, or have it amputated. CJ will thankfully have an FHO procedure (Femoral Head Ostectomy) next week to avoid amputation.

Our total amount spent on initial scans today was only $272.50, after the owner contributed to the bill. The estimate of surgery next week will be $920.72 on the low end, and $1,077.72 on the high end (subtracting routine care from the estimate.) His owners made the difficult decision to rearrange some money that was put aside for bills to contribute *everything* they have to saving CJ, and we’re going to make sure we cover everything else needed for treatment.

CJ is only 2 years old and has so much life ahead of him. Let’s help save his leg and give him his quality of life back🤍

Just a few updates!
- We’re still working on planning our fundraiser at Approach Shots Indoor Golf, but still looking for more prize options for tournament winners before we set dates!
- We’re getting business cards and trifolds soon to help spread awareness and connect with donors and families in need. If any local businesses are willing to let us set some up for customers to grab, please let us know!
- Things have been slow, but we are still here waiting for the next pet who needs our help!
- And finally, if anyone has fundraising or grant opportunities for us, please let us know! We’ve reached out to so many local businesses and unfortunately haven’t had any luck, but we’d love more opportunities to connect with our community!

We have shirt preorders open on our website again! I've been working on some new designs and items, but until I finalize those, I wanted to get the original shirts back up for preorder.

As always, all funds after the cost of production will be donated to our emergency fund. Each purchase helps fund emergency care for pets in need.

T-shirts are $25, sweatshirts are $40 (I know it's not cold out anymore, but you never know😉)

Any orders in Augusta can be placed for local pickup, but we do offer shipping on our site for those further away!

In our first 4 months of operation, we’ve helped SIX families keep their furbabies! That’s children who get to watch their pet get better and grow up with them, adults who’s best friends get to come home with them again, and pets who get to continue playing, getting belly rubs, and spending their lives with the people they love most🐾

None of these pets would be here without your donations, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has stepped in to help people in their community when they needed it most🫂
