Big news!
We’ve just kicked off our first-ever Union Trade Internship Program — and we couldn’t be more excited!
This 10-week paid internship is giving high school students from Somerset Career & Technical Center (SCTC) a front-row seat to the electric utility world ⚡️
All summer long, these five students will be learning the ropes at our Farmingdale training center and out in the field with our CMP crews.
From climbing poles to (safely!) operating bucket trucks, they’re getting real hands-on experience with guidance from our incredible union team.
We’re proud to support Maine’s next generation of energy professionals!

We’ve read thousands of scholarship essays from students pursuing careers in the trades. You know what shows up again and again? A story about someone who showed up! Whether it was helping out in the garage, tinkering in the driveway, or tagging along to a job site, someone took the time to invest in them.
Today, we celebrate all the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and father figures who are helping shape strong adults and stronger communities.
