Hey there, HaRVers!
It's been a minute, yeah? We've been quiet and haven't been sharing much lately, but now that it's *official* official, I figure it's time to let you all know -
Richard and I have sent Harvey off to a new home and will no longer be full-time RVing.
This is not a decision we made lightly, though it was one made out of frustration after our recent dealings with repairs.
Long story short, if one thing is fixed, another thing is broken. And every time we have to haul Harvey into the dealer for repair, even for the minor things (like replacing a lighting fixture above the kitchen sink), our lives are disrupted for multiple weeks at a time.
We have absolutely loved the last 18 months of our lives, and while we are sad this chapter of our lives is over, we are excited for the things we have on the horizon.
Until we meet again, HaRVers!

We've been full-time RV living for nearly a year and a half now, and emptying the black tank never gets better! BUT..... it's a necessary evil and still beats the hell out of being forever tied to one location!

Happy Tuesday, HaRVers!
After Alamogordo and White Sands National Park, we made an overnight stop in Santa Fe (to break up the drive to our next stop into smaller increments, AND to have dinner at one of our FAVORITE restaurants ever - Paper Dosa! What can we say? We like food!).
The next morning, we headed to Alamosa, CO, to visit Great Sand Dunes National Park! We got in some more sand sledding on larger dunes and did some sand hiking (not on purpose - the park is literally just giant sand dunes). These sand dunes were massive, getting as tall as 750ft - and yes, there are absolutely plenty of crazy people out there hiking to the tops of the tallest dunes!
This was our last stop of the road trip before getting to our "home" for the summer. We are now in Idaho Springs, CO, and looking forward to more fun-tivities as the summer unfolds!
Stay tuned for more HaRVing adventures to come!

Hello, HaRVers!
I've been busy living life and forgot to post the rest of our adventuring back to Colorado, so my apologies!
We last left off with a stop in Carlsbad and a visit to Guadalupe Mountains National Park. From there, we made a trip over to Alamogordo, NM, so we could visit White Sands National Park! We did some sledding, but skipped hiking because..... well, have you ever walked through sand? Enough said!
We also kept seeing signs for The World's Largest Pistachio at Pistachio Land in Alamogordo. So, naturally, we went for a visit there too! We had some excellent pistachio ice cream, did a wine tasting of wines produced from their vineyard (including a pistachio wine, obviously!), and went on a guided tour through the vineyard and pistachio grove. Definitely touristy, definitely fun; definitely worth it!
Stay tuned for more adventures!

Howdy, hi, HaRVers!
After visiting Big Bend, we made our way to Carlsbad as a means to get to Guadalupe Mountain National Park! (Guadalupe Mountain NP is just under an hour south of Carlsbad, making Carlsbad and excellent stop for Guadalupe and the Caverns if you're looking to get a two-for-one kind of adventure!)
We hiked Devil's Hall Trail! This trail, after the first mile, follows a river wash, meaning we had lots of large boulders and loose rock to scramble over. It was definitely a different experience from previous hikes we've done, but it was a lot of fun, and the unique rock formations were worth it!

Oh, hey there, HaRVers!
Richard and I have been BUSY gallivanting as we make our way back to Colorado for the Summer!
Our first stop was Big Bend! We went this time last year, but there was still so much we didn't get to do. So, naturally, we went again!
We only stayed a few nights, but packed our schedule full. We spent some time in Terlingua Ghost Town (and had dinner at the famous Starlight Theatre!), did a canoe float, took a quick trip across the border into Boquillas, Mexico, visited the Hot Springs, AND did an amazing sunrise hike on the Lost Mine Trail!
This National Park is definitely worth a visit or two!
