We are making a change to our network today 12-23-2021. The exact time of this change is unknown. This change will improve the functionality of our internet. Unfortunately, the change will cause our network to be down for an unknown amount of time. It should only be down for about 10 minutes, however it could take longer. Good morning valued ResNet customers. We just received word that one of the fiber lines at our main tower has been cut. We are in contact with our supplier to try and get this resolved as quickly as possible. We have high hopes that we will be able to get this fixed relatively quickly. It is important that let all of our customers know that our suppliers network is down. This causes Resnets entire network to be down as well. We had our technician out surveying the damage that the storms caused today. Currently Songer tower was hit be lightening and all the equipment was damaged. Stringtown tower is fed by Songer so all the customers fed by those two towers are with out internet. We will replace as much equipment tomorrow as we can weather permitting. Attica is currently experiencing a power outage. We are currently running on backup power. It will not last long. This outage is effecting the entire northwest portion of our network. There are two towers that are still down since the storms and power outages happened today. Independence tower is down due to no power. We are told it will be up and running before 10:30 p.m. tonight. Mellott tower is also having a problem. We are trying to chase down the issue, but it may be tomorrow before we have it resolved. Bob contacted our supplier early this am & the supplier said that a fiber cable was cut between their connection & Indy. The supplier is working on the repair, however, we don't know the status of when the repair will be completed. Bob has switched the customers who are on the affected towers/grain legs to our other fiber connection. The Internet will be slower since we have all our customers using that fiber. I just talked to Bob and he said our supplier has some equipment that has failed at Whitesville. We are going to try and fix the problem for them. While Kelsey is at Whitesville assessing the problem, Bob is rerouting the bandwidth from other towers so the customers that are down at the moment will be able to have internet.
