Today, our hearts are with the members of our fire service family as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

We are deeply grateful for the courage, dedication, and sacrifice shown by firefighters who answer the call—often placing themselves in harm’s way to protect others. While words cannot ease this loss, please know that your Region 3 partners stand with you in solidarity during this difficult time.

To the firefighter’s family, friends, and colleagues, we extend our deepest condolences and offer our support in any way we can.

Looking forward to joining our partners at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta tomorrow morning for Trauma Grand Rounds! These sessions are a great opportunity to learn from trauma experts, strengthen our continuum of care, and earn CEUs while staying current on topics that impact the patients and communities we serve.

The crane collapse episode reminded us of something RTAC3 already knows:

You can be a brilliant doctor…

But you’re still going to need firefighters, EMS, nurses, surgeons, therapists, and an entire trauma system behind you.

Patient-Focused Collaboration. 😎🚑🚒🏥

🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️As trauma professionals, we know that prevention is the most powerful intervention.

That’s why RTAC Region 3 is excited to participate in the Lutzie 43 Road Race on August 1. The race supports the Lutzie 43 Foundation’s 43 Key Seconds initiative, which encourages drivers to make one simple commitment every time they get behind the wheel: drive distraction-free.

Whether you join us at Lassiter High School or participate virtually, you’ll be supporting an organization that is working every day to prevent tragedies before they happen.

Let’s come together as a community and take steps toward safer roads—one mile and one decision at a time.

This National Blood Donor Week, we’re recognizing the people behind some of the most lifesaving moments in trauma care — blood donors.

Across Region 3, donated blood is helping support trauma patients both in the hospital and increasingly in the prehospital setting, where whole blood can make a critical difference before a patient ever reaches definitive care.

One donation really can save lives.

First responders, ER staff, dispatchers, trauma teams, transport crews… Different uniforms. Same “morale boost”.

Summer is here — and so are pool days, lake days, rope swings, cannonballs, and nonstop time in the water. ☀️🌊

A little fun can turn serious fast, which is why water safety matters before anyone jumps in. Check the depth, supervise kids closely, wear life jackets when needed, and never assume someone else is watching.

Safe summers start with smart choices.

🚴 Helmet Safety
👀 Be Visible
🚗 Share the Road
📵 Avoid Distractions
🤝 Community Education
