SAT 8.23 // // MALEVICH LP RELEASE! “Under a Gilded Sun” finally breaks its rusty cage and runs, along with MORE new L/W songs being focus-grouped in the live setting. Unmissable violence and love. Bring your hugging arms, Atlanta.

This Saturday at Boggs! A covenant of incredible Atlanta bands beckons, in celebration of you, yours, and one another. Everyone in the room adds something wild to the cauldron, and we’ll be throwing in a brand new song, “A Passer Through Walls,” a memoriam for… too many amazing people. Love you guys.

It’s desperate times, y’all. It never seems appropriate to “advertise” anything on any given day – even something positive – with so much hurt, locally and ambiently in the world. But I suppose desperate times are the very best times for community, a great meal, and some primordial lashing out. So here it is.

L/W will be breaking out some old stuff, some fast stuff, and some brand new stuff we’ve never played live, with some of our closest Atlanta homies. Come celebrate what we’re all so lucky to have: family, incredible local music, and operating venues to enjoy both. This bill is a dream.

This week in WTF: untellably honored to be flying to Detroit with tomorrow, to warm up the stage for Bernie at his rally this weekend. Life is often impossible to predict, and sometimes it throws you a bone just when you’re inexhaustibly angry, and sick to your stomach, all of the fu***ng time. It’ll feel good to point all that energy at something positive, potentially hopeful, and certainly loudly.
