We’re on a mission—living out true acts of . And it starts with this necklace.

It was crafted by Moses, who lovingly made several necklaces as gifts for their friends who sleep outside. Before starting a new journey in another state, Moses entrusted our team with a sacred task: to carry these gifts into the community, one person at a time.

Today, Billie Jo is wearing that gift. A reminder that care continues, even when circumstances shift.

For many reasons, hits differently as an adult. Recently, I helped provide shoes for a kid who showed up to our Tuesday foot clinic wearing a pair of size 6 shoes–but his feet were clearly a size 8.

Though we didn't have any new shoes to offer, nor was it a guarantee that we'd have a pair that would fit, I asked our Ministry Coordinator to check our donations. To be more concise, I asked him to select a pair of shoes that would give the young man a little . (These are back to school shoes after all!)

When I asked if I could take his photo, he said yes—then immediately began to shift, adjust, pose.

I stopped him: “Don’t move. This is the photo.”

It was his natural posture that caught my eye—grounded, effortless, real.

The windows, the plants, the bike, the shadows are part of the space, but...

I see him.

Not centered, but anchoring the frame.
Not loud, but holding presence.
Not background—story.
