The Reptiles2You team will be hitting the road to attend what many consider the “Super Bowl of Reptile Shows” — the Tinley Park Reptile Expo in Tinley Park, Illinois! 🦎🐍

Because our team will be traveling and working the show, all supply orders placed after 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 23rd will not ship until Monday, June 29th.

📦 Please plan ahead and order any supplies you may need NOW to avoid delays!

The good news is that Jess will be staying behind and available for customer service needs during this time.

⚠️ As always, our recommended shipping days are Monday through Wednesday (weather permitting) to ensure the safest transit for your animals.

SWIPE ⬅️🔥 These are all the same species (Uroplatus ebenaui - Spearpoint Leaf-Tailed Gecko) with such drastically different looks! The Uroplatus genus comes from Madagascar, and relies almost entirely on camouflage to avoid any potential predators. Each species specializes in a different sort of camouflage, and they all look incredible! 🙌

🚨 IMPORTANT: VERIFY YOUR RECIPIENT’S ADDRESS BEFORE SHIPPING 🚨

‼️‼️ This is a mistake
that leads to delivery issues, and it’s completely preventable with proper address verification before the label is created‼️‼️

As the seller and shipper, it is YOUR responsibility to verify that your recipient’s address is eligible to receive a live animal shipment. Do not simply rely on the address provided by the buyer.

Many reptile purchasers are first-time buyers and may not be familiar with the requirements and restrictions associated with shipping live reptiles. An address that seems correct to them may not actually be suitable for delivery.

Before creating a label, always verify:

✅ The address is complete and accurate
✅ The recipient can legally and safely receive a live animal shipment at that location
✅ The location is eligible for FedEx live animal delivery services
✅ Any Hold at Location request is being sent to an authorized facility

⚠️ UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES can a FedEx live animal shipment be held at a UPS Store.

⚠️ FedEx live animal shipments also cannot be held at FedEx Office retail locations or FedEx Ground facilities.

If a shipment is being held for pickup, it MUST be sent to an authorized FedEx Ship Center that accepts Dangerous Goods shipments, which is the classification used for approved live animal shipments.

Taking a few minutes to verify the destination before shipping can prevent delays, misrouted packages, refused shipments, and unnecessary stress for both the animal and the customer.

When it comes to live animal shipping, never assume—always verify‼️‼️‼️

FedEx and Reptiles2You will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2026. We will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

⚠️ REMINDER FOR ANYONE SHIPPING REPTILES OR SUPPLIES AFTER A MAJOR HOLIDAY ⚠️

Following a holiday closure, FedEx will experience heavier package volume, processing backlogs, and delays throughout the network. Hubs and sorting facilities will be working through weekend shipments along with an additional day’s worth of packages all at once, which may impact scan updates and transit times.

‼️ SUGGESTION ‼️
Weather permitting, we strongly recommend waiting until Wednesday, May 27, 2026 to ship live animals.

We also highly recommend avoiding Thursday live shipments — even during non-holiday weeks — to reduce the risk of delays that could leave a shipment stuck in transit over the entire weekend. 🦎🐍🐸🐢

☀️☀️ IMPORTANT REMINDER ☀️☀️

As temperatures continue warming up, we are quickly approaching the time of year when heat packs are no longer needed — and can actually become unsafe for shipping live reptiles. ☀️🐍📦

When purchasing your shipping kits, please be extra careful to select:
🚫 “NO” — in the field for the Heat Pack

A temperature control item (Cryopak) is automatically included with all complete shipping kits to help maintain safe transit temperatures.

If you are ordering supplies individually instead of purchasing a full kit, please be sure to order cold packs and Cryopaks accordingly for safe summer shipping.
