Families deserve a trusted place to start when searching for autism support.
Finding the right ABA or autism services shouldn't feel overwhelming, yet many families face inconsistent information, limited transparency, and no easy way to compare providers.
That's why Meaghan Timko recently joined the advisory panel for Special Needs Care Network (SNCN). After SNCN founder Eric S. connected with Meaghan over their shared passion for improving access to trusted autism resources, they recognized the need for a better way to support families navigating these important decisions.
SNCN is building a free, nationwide directory of verified ABA providers, autism therapy centers, and special needs schools—giving families a reliable starting point without the confusion.
We're proud to support organizations that are making autism resources more accessible and helping families find the right care with confidence.

Big news out of Atlanta: we're growing our leadership team.
Mo Berger is joining Gradual Behavioral Health to lead operations and growth and if you know Mo, you know why we're excited. He's built his career around never letting clinical quality get lost in growth. He'll be working alongside Meaghan Timko, whose clinical background in ABA speaks for itself.
More Georgia families are looking for ABA support the real bottleneck is finding BCBAs, RBTs, and leaders who get the community they serve. That's what we're building around.
If that's you, we'd love to hear from you. Know someone who fits? Tag them below.

Congratulations to Sarayma Robertson, our June RBT of the Month!
Being a Registered Behavior Technician means showing up for kids and families every day through the hard moments and the small wins, with patience that doesn't run out.
Sarayma, the families you work with notice everything you do, and so do we. This one's well earned.
Congratulations, Sarayma keep being exactly who you are.

Nearly 1,000 children in Arizona just lost access to their ABA therapy after Medicaid insurance plans canceled contracts with two of the state's largest providers. Families who relied on those services are now scrambling to find new care for their kids.
Situations like this are scary, but they also highlight something important: families need to understand their insurance coverage before problems happen.
If your child receives ABA therapy, here are a few things worth checking on your policy:
-Is your provider in-network with your insurance plan?
-Does your plan require pre-authorization for ABA services?
-Are there annual limits or coverage restrictions for autism therapy?
-What happens if your provider's contract with insurance changes?
Insurance changes happen more often than families realize, and when they do, it can impact access to therapy quickly.
At Gradual Behavioral Health, we help families navigate insurance from the start — verifying benefits, staying up to date with policy changes, and making sure families understand what their coverage actually includes so there are no surprises when it comes to care.
Families shouldn't have to fight insurance companies just to get their child the therapy they need. If you have questions about your ABA coverage, reach out — we'll help you figure it out.

February at the Atlanta Botanical Garden is quieter than you'd think—especially on weekday mornings.
The outdoor gardens are calmer this time of year, with fewer crowds and plenty of space to move at your own pace. It's a good spot for kids who find comfort in predictable environments or who just need room to decompress.
Some families tell us they use visits like this to practice real-world skills—waiting at the entrance, following a path, asking for what they need. We're always here to help you think through how to make outings like this work for your family.

We've been doing this for over 20 years. That means we've seen a lot — kids who seemed stuck and then surprised everyone, families who were exhausted and found their footing, and therapy plans that needed total overhauls.
Experience isn't just about credentials. It's about knowing when to adjust, when to push, and when to step back. It's pattern recognition you can't get from a textbook.
If you're looking for a team that's been around long enough to have seen it all, we're here.

The Center for Puppetry Arts offers sensory-friendly performances throughout the year, and if you haven’t tried one yet, it’s worth checking out.
During these shows, lighting and sound are adjusted, volume stays consistent, and staff are trained to support kids who may need to move around. There’s also a quiet room with fidget toys if your child needs a break.
Families often tell us they appreciate that it’s a real theater experience — not just an accommodation, but genuine engagement with the arts. And honestly, puppets are pretty forgiving for kids who are still working on sitting still.
Check their schedule for upcoming sensory-friendly dates.

Some progress shows up quietly.
It might look like fewer meltdowns in the morning. A faster recovery after frustration. Or a skill your child uses without being prompted.
Not every win is obvious — but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening. We’re always tracking, adjusting, and building on those small moments that add up over time.

We've heard from families that Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at the Children's Museum tend to be quieter — especially right when they open.
Sensory-friendly hours are great, but sometimes you just want a regular visit without the weekend crowds. The museum staff is used to working with all kinds of kids, and there's enough variety that if one area isn't working, you can pivot.
Atlanta has some really thoughtful spaces for families, and we're here to help you make the most of them.

ABA isn't just drills at a table.
It's also teaching your child to ask for a snack instead of screaming. Practicing how to wait their turn for the swings. Working on getting dressed without a meltdown every morning.
Real skills, in real settings, that make daily life easier for your whole family. That's what we're after.
