🕷️ Alert: Joro spiders are peaking in Georgia this fall! These palm-sized invaders from Asia have spread rapidly since 2014, weaving massive webs across backyards. The spiders mature in early September and die in late November when the temperatures drop. While scientists debate their impact on native species, they're harmless to humans and pets—though their webs can be a nuisance! Carpenter bee activity is on the rise as spring progresses! These large, shiny black bees are buzzing around, looking for wood to call home. Keep an eye out for their perfectly round drill holes in wooden structures. Fascinating pollinators, but they can be a bit of a nuisance for homeowners!
