The Southern Crescent District Recognition Banquet was a wonderful success, reflecting the time, care, and teamwork that went into planning it. It was a joy to watch our Scouts and volunteers receive well-deserved awards while sharing fellowship over a hearty spaghetti, meatball, garlic toast, and salad bar dinner. A truly warm and memorable evening for our Scouting family.

A long-standing tradition in Scouting is coming together at our District Recognition Banquet to celebrate fellowship, food, fun, and—most importantly—the incredible leaders and units who make Scouting thrive for our youth.

This is the perfect opportunity for:

• Chartered Organizations to applaud their leaders
• Parents to recognize those who mentor, camp, and lead our Scouts
• Units to reflect on the great work being done across our District.

Written nominations must be submitted to the District Recognitions Chair, Micah Womack, and the Awards Team via the district awards email no later than January 15, 2026.

Individual Awards:
• Troop Leader of the Year
• Pack Leader of the Year
• Commissioner of the Year
• District Award of Merit (limited to 2–3 per year)
• Super Bee (Busy Bee) Award
• Silver Possum Award
• God Send Award

Unit Awards (Units may self-submit):
• Pack of the Year
• Troop of the Year
• Crew of the Year
(Units must be rechartered by the deadline to be eligible.)
