We can disagree about policy without disagreeing about someone’s humanity.

I’ve written a new article about the Log Cabin Republicans’ decision to formally drop the “T” from LGBT.

I believe they should reconsider—not because we must agree on every question involving transgender policy, but because disagreement does not require exclusion.

We can defend biological s*x.
We can protect women’s sports.
We can support parents making thoughtful decisions for their children.
We can insist on personal responsibility and reasonable boundaries.

And we can still stand up for the dignity and humanity of transgender people.

Trans people have been part of our broader liberation history from the beginning. Figures like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera stood alongside gay men and women when our community was fighting simply to be seen, accepted, and free.

My Christian faith also calls me to love my neighbor—including people with whom I may disagree.

I believe the gay conservative movement can choose balance over exclusion, courage over political pressure, and love over division.

My message to the Log Cabin Republicans is simple:

Please reconsider.

We don’t have to agree on every policy to remain one LGBT family.

We are One. ❤️

Last night was a joy! After an alumni photo shoot with Best Self Atlanta Magazine, and my common-sense girlfriends - I headed to the Late Summer Lawyers Party: With the Buckhead Wine Brats-Hosted by Slappey & Sadd & J. Franklin Burns event - and turned it out for Rick Jackson for Governor!

Naturally I was met by several lawyers that would rather resist tort reform and profit from those that create jobs - but there were many more cheers and excitement
for a man that can make real change in Georgia.

I also met my Atlanta Mayoral campaign manager and other fantastic common
sense friends - what a beautiful night!
