Hello to my customers. I mentioned to you at some point that I mainly post about scams involving tech. But this one tops the cake. I know it may seem unbelievable but I also know most of you hire contractors & subcontractors alike to deal with anything regarding your yard. Me included. There are certain ways to pay people people you've never met and this is one of them. If you have that little dude pop up on your shoulder giving you the hence of any doubt, call me, call your kids, sibling, whoever to have someone outside the box looking in to make sure you don't become a vicitm. Mostly I hear the Microsoft Scam where a screen pops up with an annoying alert sound and an 800 number for you to call Microsoft. Next thing you know I've had customers that fell for this even after me telling them, "Always give them my number if you receive any phone calls, pop-ups on your screen and ofcourse never click on anything until we've spoken. Never ever ever ever give out your credit card, debit or checking account info. When in doubt, call Lance or your kids to investigate it further. Better safe than sorry and then dealing with the aftermath.
Now that I've kind of step outside the tech arena with this one, there is now we've all seen "THE PINE STRAW BANDITS". They will quote you for example 50 bales of pinestraw and then when there finished, they bring 50 strings to the door to prove it to you. Thing is, there should be 100 of them since each bale has 2. I've seen them all over the city and actually asked them to come to my place to put some out just so I could put them through the third degree. I'll play along I was thinking. When I confronted them and showing the camera footage of them taking 18 bales off there trailer and then coming to the door and telling me there were a total of 75 bales needed all i could say is "dream on baby, that's not gonna happen) and I let them have it saying so your the guys all over the internet that is scamming residents throughout the city. When I went to call the police they loaded up and ran out of here. I raced over an paid them for the original 18 bales. In the end, send someone you know to somewhere reputable like Complete Hardware in Tyrone. You will know exactly what your getting. If you need someone trustworthy to come out to spread it, call me and I'll give you the name of who I use and she's very detailed oriented. I'm very picky about our yard.
Always call Lance or your kids, siblings, someone you know and trust before having any work done in your yard, especially the ones going door to door. Nothing ever comes good out of this.

Most of us have an Amazon Prime account. If you are ever notified from what looks like amazon that your payment was declined do not under any circumstance click on anything in the message. Call Amazon direct and ask them. Yes, they answer their phones. A sign to look for is “Dear Customer:”. If it was a legit it would have your name “Dear Lance”. Either way, always call to prevent any issues.
We got wind of a new scam that is out there, you could receive an email from what appears to be Amazon saying your payment has been declined and you need to update a payment method....do not enter any payment information through this email. The only way you update the payment information would be to sign into your account and do it while logged in. This is a scam to get your information.
