Thanks to the support of community partners including Argos, the city of Calera, Alabama, recently installed a new storm shelter. The facility will provide emergency shelter and supplies for 100 people. We are honored to play a role in serving the Calera community!

Argos Houston Dome Argos North America is ensuring that customers have access to timely and cost-efficient cement and ready-mix products with the construction of the Houston Dome in the Port of Houston

In 2023, our Newberry Quarry operators leveled up with Level 2 certification training, mastering Bulldozer, Excavator, Wheel Loader, and Road-Grader operations. Eight operators clocked 256 hours, while four from Production invested 64 hours. The result? Reduced idle time, fuel savings, and a commitment to excellence in 2024.

The Portland Cement Association (PCA) honored our Newberry Cement facility with the Chairman's Performance in Safety Award. This award is given to cement plants that have maintained an exemplary safety record with no reportable injuries or illnesses throughout the year. In 2023, only nine plants in the United States and its territories achieved this remarkable feat, accounting for only 10% of all active cement facilities.
