Something that often comes to my attention is how difficult it can be for people to hear each other at events—even on a good day and without a DJ or loud speaker next to them!

Absolutely take this into consideration when planning where to put people—seat those who want to talk (and hear) further away from the loudspeakers and music.

How many of your guests have mobility challenges or need frequent access to the restroom? Do you have anyone who has sensory or audio processing issues? How about very tall people, or the inverse, and the effects those have on sight lines?

Traditionally, people are seated according to their position in business or in a family. Make sure that those people on the fringe can see and hear, too. Consider using more and smaller tables to increase interaction. A six-top is definitely more conducive to getting people to interact with each other than a 10-top or a banquet table. Although banquet tables can help people get to know their dinner partners, it can be a long, arduous evening if they can’t (or won’t) communicate! Half-moon tables are an interesting solution, and don’t underestimate the effects of mixing various table types and sizes! Look at some of the ways you can facilitate meaningful, memorable, and creative interactions at your event. Enhance everyone’s enjoyment of the entire experience by creating thoughtful seating.

🔮✨ Season 2 Tarot Talks with Jan: Episode 21 ✨🔮

My love, you are not as stuck as you think you are.

A lot of this has been you holding yourself in place out of fear, habit, or exhaustion.

But something is shifting now.

You are learning how to turn your struggles into strength and your shadows into wisdom.

And going forward, life is asking you to slow down enough to actually enjoy what you have built.

As the live events industry continues to grow, creating meaningful and experiential moments matters more than ever. People are craving real connection, and that’s exactly what unforgettable events deliver.

I pounded the pavement on my lunch breaks, seeing how many auditions I could do.

Made it into a game.

When I was a kid, I got thrown from my horse (a lot). Once I was shaken up pretty badly. My mother told me to get back on.

I was scared. She made me. Said she’d been thrown once as a girl and had never ridden again.

In the saddle again.

Those auditions.
People would say (sometimes on the SAME day!): “You’re too tall.” “You’re too short.” “You’re too fat, skinny, dark, fair....”

The reasons why I wasn’t ‘it’ or ‘right’ were unending. If I had listened to them, I would’ve been ground to a pulp.

I auditioned a LOT. Every time I got told “No,” I went to another one.

The stupidest one was when they said my hair was just a little too dark, but otherwise I was perfect. “But it’s a rinse that I can wash out,” I told them. “No,” they said, “we need someone with the right hair color.”

You Are Not What They Think You Are. Remember that.
Not every room will immediately “get” you.
Not every opportunity will say ‘Yes.’
Not every opinion deserves space in your head.

But the right people will connect with what you bring.
And sometimes the most unforgettable experiences happen because someone kept showing up anyway.
