Like many countries in occupation to one another throughout history and unfortunately in present times, many of us can feel trapped in our own lives...trapped by external factors, via our governments, communities, families...but many of us remain trapped in the confines of our own minds. The walls we've built inside, brick by brick.

This isn't just a simple book. It's a call for a conversation with ourselves, and an ignition of our inner flame. A flame that will burn down the walls of fear that keep us from living freely, as we were meant to. And allow each and every person who reads it, to never leave their flame UnKindled🔥...

If you've been following along, you know that over the last week, I've been visiting my local libraries for National Library Week. I wanted to get to know some of the wonderful souls who inhabit them, and show some appreciation for all that you guys do. 😌👏🏾💚 So, I decided to do some fun little interviews with my local librarians/Library assistants. I also got a chance to sit with them to unbox my very first copy of UnKindled 🔥🥹.

If you didn't know, this upcoming week is National Library Week 🥳 and what better way to kick it off than blessing readers of all walks of life, with the unique breath of life that is "UnKindled?"

I've been visiting a few of my local libraries in preparation for some more posts coming soon, and while waiting, I picked up a few books to read while I was there. One of them was coincidentally very similar to "UnKindled", and it reminded me about the crucial distinction between living life bound by fear, and acknowledging that fear, but choosing to be brave regardless. Sure, it was a kid's book😂, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hold value for everyone. I feel that especially amidst the varying struggles of adult-hood, it's especially important to approach challenges with a youthful vigor and glimmer of hope, rather than be crushed by the oppressive force of the fears and limitations that come with it.

The fact that I found that spark of inspiration from picking up a random children's book is a testament to the value that Libraries have always held since their inception, and even more of a reason to appreciate them 😌👏🏾💚

As I'm sure most of you are well-aware about my page, I do my best to foster within myself, and inspire within others, a deep-seated resilience that extends beyond the struggles of day-to-day life, and even the toughest moments life can throw...

So it should come as no surprise I'd be honoring another poet that not only inspired me, but millions around the world-- as I hope to as well 😌👏🏾💚

Today we celebrate the birthday of a legendary poet, activist, and overall amazing woman...Maya Angelou 😌👏🏾🎙

So for Day 2, we've got a happy International Children's book day 🥳💚🤗

My young nephew just turned 6, and has been flexing his reading skills on everyone lately, so this one's pretty relevant right now 😂

I wanted to share some of the books I loved as a child, and I know a lot of others did, too, so feel free to let me know down in the comments if these look familiar 🤣

So I was the last in the publishing chain to find out UnKindled actually went live already 😂

It's one of the trade-offs when you give up some control in favor of delegation and collaboration, and I'm more than grateful to have the ability to do so 🧘🏿👏🏾💚💎🪽

I still want to do an OFFICIAL reveal later in the month, but for those of you who are STARVING for some life-changing literature, it's teechnically already available 😇 -- but be aware I haven't gotten the shop listing text updated to be more professionally representative so you've been warned 🤣

And I'd like to do something special for those who joined the waitlist too, to show my further appreciation 😌👏🏾

Not only is April National poetry month, but it's also National Literature Month(in the Philippines), and coincidentally -- my birth month 🥳🤣🥰 And as it turns out, there's a loooot of different book related celebration days coming up, so I want to do a lot of different things for as many as feasible as we move through the month, so get ready 🙂‍↔️. I appreciate every single one of you... This has been a very enjoyable few months so far, and I'm more than glad to have you 😌👏🏾💚 I'll be back real soon 🧘🏿🪽✨️
