You have to be 18 to vote BUT you must remember to get your 17.5 year old registered to vote by OCT. 7th in Georgia.
To register to vote you must be:

* A citizen of the United States.
* A legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote.
* At least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 to vote.

Register to Vote Eligible Georgians can register to vote through the Secretary of State’s Office.
