Vibr.80-Vibr80 Weekend Experience Celebrates Historic Memorial Weekend and First-Year Haitian Community Participation at Atlanta Caribbean Carnival

The weekend brought together culture, resilience, music, community leadership, and Haitian pride through a rooftop soca party, parade participation, concert moments, and an unforgettable after party.

Marietta, GA โ€” 06/01/2026โ€” Vibr80 Weekend Experience proudly celebrates a powerful and historic Memorial Weekend filled with culture, community, resilience, and Haitian pride. This year marked the first-year participation of the Haitian community with Vibr80 at Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, creating a memorable experience that included a Friday night rooftop soca party, parade participation, a concert experience, and a high-energy after party.

The weekend began with the Vibr80 Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Soca Party on Friday night, held on the rooftop and designed to bring the community together in celebration. From the music and costumes to the energy of the guests, the event reflected the spirit of unity and the importance of keeping Haitian culture visible, respected, and celebrated.

During the parade, participants walked the streets of Atlanta beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at Rodney Cook Sr. Park. Vibr80โ€™s bright orange presentation represented โ€œFire du Feu,โ€ a message calling the community to wake up, keep fighting, and remember that Haiti needs continued support, strength, and resilience. The orange color served as a symbol of endurance and determination, while the queenโ€™s blue, white, and red costume honored the current colors of the Haitian flag.

โ€œWe made history,โ€ said Vibr80. โ€œThis weekend showed what happens when people come together with vision, purpose, culture, and love. The color, the music, the costumes, the interviews, the support, and the tears all proved that this dream is bigger than one person. When you are vibrating with us, you are vibrating with brains, purpose, and community.โ€

The traditional costumes were designed by Michel Chataigne, with feathers by Masada Gourdet. Vibr80 also recognized the women who came out to support and represent the vision, stating that their strength, beauty, professionalism, and dedication helped bring the dream to life. Among the young women representing Vibr80 were college graduates, future professionals, and leaders with strong goals, including a recent Kennesaw State University graduate pursuing a path in law and a well-deserved college graduate preparing for a pre-med journey.

Vibr80 extended deep gratitude to Fanm Potomitan-Mrs. Bijoux, whose presence, guidance, and support helped contribute to the success of this yearโ€™s experience. Vibr80 also thanked the Consulate General of Haiti in Atlanta -Haitian Consulate team, especially Mrs. Colas, for keeping her promise and standing with the community during both the parade and the after party. Her presence meant the world to the team and represented meaningful support for the Haitian community.

The organization also acknowledged the support of community leaders, families, media partners especially Caribbean Focus TV-Jacques Duplessis, entertainers, and supporters who helped move the vision forward. Special thanks were extended to Mr. Frantz Bourget and his wife, the Grand Pierre family, Lola, who traveled from Florida and worked behind the scenes on TikTok to keep the conversation going, Dread Lala, Andy, and everyone who gave time, energy, and encouragement along the way.

Vibr80 also recognized the Chamber for helping promote the event, Carl โ€œToujou Santibonโ€ for allowing Vibr80 to promote during his event, Final Touch Entertainment, Loulou, and a cousin from HKPNY in New York who helped make the event extra special. Vibr80 expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone who came alone, joined the movement, gave interviews, showed support, or helped in ways seen and unseen.

A special thank you was also shared with the President of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Ms. Patricia Tonge Edigin and Mr. Rock, who was instrumental in helping Vibr80 make it onto the road. Vibr80 emphasized that their support helped make the parade experience possible.

The after party continued the momentum, with guests showing up in full support and celebration. Vibr80 gave special recognition to Tony Mix Tony Mix, whose presence was felt throughout the parade, concert, and after party. From the parade to the concert stage and into the late-night celebration, Tony Mix helped create magical moments that will be remembered for years to come.

Vibr80 also acknowledged the media professionals and content creators who captured the experience, including Konpaevents, Dadou Dys, Yvens Dรฉsir and Eloi, noting that their work helped preserve the emotion, energy, and history of the weekend.

As Vibr80 reflects on this yearโ€™s success, the organization also remains focused on growth, communication, and continued improvement. Vibr80 welcomes constructive communication and encourages anyone with concerns, ideas, or feedback to reach out directly. The organization emphasized that negativity around the brand is not welcome, but open conversation, support, and community-building remain central to the mission.

For those who promised to attend but could not make it, Vibr80 shared understanding and encouragement, stating that the community looks forward to welcoming them next year. The team also made clear that this is only the beginning, and that the next Vibr80 Weekend Experience will continue building on the foundation created during this historic Memorial Weekend.
