3 or so years ago David Shands () introduced me to a brother by the name of Gee ().

Gee was in need of someone to do a website for both one of his businesses and for his personal brand.

Initially, our relationship was transactional - he needed a service, I had the skills to provide the solution.

We conducted the business aspect of our relationship with absolutely no drama. In the midst of our business dealings, we realized that we could add value to each other in more ways than just business.

Since then, our relationship has evolved to one of mutual respect and brotherly love for one another.

For both of us, our word is our bond! If we say it, we do it!

I know that if I am slipping, he’s going to give it to me straight, no chaser!

One day during one of our sometimes hours-long chats, he said something that has always stuck with me… it was simple, yet profound…

“Discipline is freedom!”

I’ve never forgotten that, because it is true on so many levels.

I would like each of you to examine different areas of your lives…

See where you excel, and see where you could improve…

I would venture to say that in the areas where you need the most improvement, those are also the areas where you lack the most discipline…

✅ Personal Relationships

We all have a price to pay for the success we desire. Whatever that price is for you, know that it will require discipline…

After all, discipline is freedom!

You were never promised an easy life…

The promise speaks of you not having to endure it alone!

You are going to go through adversity…

The question is - will you hold on?

Will you focus on the goal, and not the hurdles 🏃🏾‍♂️

If you are willing to keep going…

To hold on when things get tough…

To seek the counsel of those who have gone before you…

To “Run the Play”, as we say…

You will be pleasantly surprised 😊

Everything that you desire already exists…

It’s already yours!

You just have to continue to journey, and it will be waiting on you at the finish line 💪🏽

I remember receiving some advice when I was going through one of the lowest points of my life…

It was simple, yet profound…

Them: Do you pray?

Me: YES!

Them: If you pray, don’t worry. But if you are going to worry, don’t pray!

This was almost 20 years ago, but those words stuck with me!

You will go through adversity in life… there’s no doubt about that!

During those times, remember who you are and whose you are!

You got this!

So many people are creating courses & memberships these days…

To be honest, I don’t blame them.

It’s a great way to supplement and/or replace your income if you identify your audience and market to them properly.

The problem is that so many people are selling course with little to know substance.

In many instances, the consumer is unaware of what it takes to teach a course.

So if someone has a large following, consumers equate followers with expertise…

That’s not always the case!

If you are an aspiring course creator, this post should help you determine where you are in your process. No one is better than the other. There are just levels to it…

If you are a potential student of a course, ask your expert to show you receipts of their expertise!

If they are who they say they are, it shouldn’t be an issue.

You can pay for testimonials just like you can pay for likes & followers 😏

Some will say I’m hating… That’s cool!

I’m looking out for the little guy.

Your income should not come from taking advantage of the uninformed…

It should come from serving them with information that will result in the transformation they are searching for!

If you serve with integrity, your income will follow!

1 - Take a couple of them, squeeze them, and drink the juice. It’s good for you… 🍋

2 - Take the seeds from the lemons you squeezed and plant them. They will produce more lemons… 🌲

3 - Google a lemonade recipe so that you can make some good lemonade from the remaining lemons… 📝

4 - Get with a marketing expert to learn how to market and brand your lemonade…🧠

5- Ask a videographer to video you to document the process… 📹

6 - Get with clothing expert to help you design a clothing line for the brand… 👕
