And for me, that couldn’t be more true.

I met Ashley in an Uber—right before I opened Hebrew Bakes.
Just two creatives talking about baking, business, dreams, and purpose. Like people in the same field always do.

From that first conversation, the connection was real.

She believed in me before she even worked with me.
She gave me advice.
She offered support.
She was open to learning vegan baking—even though she had never done it before.

Her business page? 🔥
Her work ethic? Even stronger.

At the time, I was still learning the culture of baking in the US in the South—seasons, trends, and what people really looked for.
And Ashley came in and took the reins.

I was leading a team, and we were blessed with her.

She taught me so much.
She helped shape the vision.
She played a major role in helping Hebrew Bakes become one of Atlanta’s favorites.

And I’m grateful.

I know I’ve been distant.
I know it’s been quiet.
And I know we—the Hebrew Bakes Nation—have some catching up to do.

But I’m back.
And I’m ready to take you on this journey with me again.

“I’m truly grateful for all the love you’ve shown, but I have to be honest—this cake wasn’t easy to create. My work is a reflection of art, but as an artist, the past year has been incredibly challenging for me. I’ve been learning the delicate balance of when and how to open up about these struggles, which is a new skill I’m developing.

I’ve never been a fan of sharing heavy news on social media, especially with those who may not be in a position to help. However, after having a much-needed conversation this morning, I feel lighter. I strive to live authentically and share my journey on social platforms, but that was tested in this past season.

Despite it all, I know I am blessed and highly favored. Even in the midst of challenges, much like R. Kelly’s music from behind bars, my heART never fails me.”
