The G.R.O.W. programs at Chestatee High School and Flowery Branch High School have been packed with hands-on learning, career exploration, self-advocacy, and fun!
Students have explored a wide variety of careers and industries through visits to Goodwill Career Center, Champion Aviation Services at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport, the Hall County School District Farm, Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and local businesses. Along the way, they learned about employability skills, interview attire, financial wellness, agriculture, aviation, sustainability, sports and entertainment careers, and workplace expectations.
Students also participated in self-advocacy lessons, explored community resources, connected with industry professionals, and gained real-world experience that will help them prepare for future education and employment opportunities.
From fashion shows and farm tours to airport hangars and stadium locker rooms, G.R.O.W. students are building skills, confidence, and connections while discovering new possibilities for their futures. We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer brings!

Behind every title is a student leader willing to step up, work hard, learn, and represent Georgia CTI with professionalism and pride.
We're proud of the dedication, growth, and leadership these officers have already demonstrated, and we're excited to see the impact they'll have this year. Take a moment to check out their official CTSO Officer Training photos and headshots.
And because no great officer team is complete without a little personality... be sure to swipe all the way to the end for one not-so-professional photo. 😄

While summer may be a break for many, Georgia CTI is already hard at work preparing for another incredible year!
This week, the Georgia CTI Board of Directors gathered in Jekyll Island for our annual Board Training and Planning Session. Over several days, board members and leadership staff worked together to review programs, discuss new ideas, make important decisions, and plan events and opportunities for students and advisers across the state.
Of course, it wasn't all meetings! Board Training is also an opportunity to strengthen relationships, build trust, share ideas, and get to know one another better. The strongest organizations are built by teams that work well together, and this time together helps ensure we're ready to serve Georgia CTI students and advisers in the year ahead.
We're excited about what's to come and grateful for the dedicated leaders who help make Georgia CTI stronger every year.
All work and no play? Not at CTSO/CTI Officer Training! 🎉
While leadership training includes workshops, goal setting, and learning important skills, some of the most valuable lessons happen when our officers are simply spending time together.
Team bonding isn't just about having fun. It's about building trust, learning how to communicate, discovering each other's strengths, and figuring out how to work through challenges as a team. Every game, conversation, and shared experience helps create the foundation for a leadership team that can support one another, solve problems together, and navigate conflict when it arises.
The strongest teams aren't built in a classroom alone. They're built through shared experiences, laughter, challenges, and connections.
We're excited to watch this group continue to grow into a team that leads with confidence, collaboration, and purpose. The future is bright for Georgia CTI! 💙
Part 2 of CTSO Officer Training is in the books! 🎉
This weekend, our Georgia CTI State Officers had the opportunity to collaborate with state officers from other Georgia CTSOs, building leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills alongside some of the best student leaders in the state.
While the weather had other plans and only a few officers were able to tackle the mud course, that didn't stop the learning, laughter, and team building. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow, connect, and strengthen relationships.
We are incredibly proud of the way this team is already coming together. Their willingness to learn, support one another, and step outside their comfort zones is setting the stage for an amazing year ahead.
The future is bright for Georgia CTI, and we can't wait to see all the great things these leaders will accomplish together!

Leadership starts with showing up ready to learn.
This weekend, our Georgia CTI State Officers are at CTSO Officer Training, building the skills that great leaders need to succeed. They're learning how to lead by example, communicate effectively, represent their organization with professionalism, and challenge themselves to grow.
Being a leader isn't about having a title. It's about stepping up, setting the standard, and helping others succeed.
We can't wait to see how these outstanding students use what they're learning to make an impact this year. 💙
CTI Officer Training has begun! Our officers are kicking off their summer working for you! They are getting to know each other, learning about and practicing leadership, as well as learning about themselves as leaders.
This afternoon, they are going to start working on your 2026-2027 theme! What will it be?

G.R.O.W. programs are officially underway across Georgia, and our students are already learning, exploring, and building confidence through incredible hands-on experiences! 🌱
Across the state, students have been:
• Touring Emmanuel University’s Agriculture Program
• Planting tomatoes and beans
• Feeding cows and chickens
• Collecting eggs
• Hearing from a DEARMAN speaker from a local therapy group
• Practicing self-advocacy with Project Life in Forsyth’s “Let Your Voice Be Heard” activity
• Designing custom hats at Johnson High School while discussing professionalism, self-expression, and workplace expectations
• Learning about entrepreneurship, communication, and professionalism from local business owner and dog trainer Scot Rucker of Rucker Dog Training
• Meeting with first responders to learn about important community resources including Logan’s Law, Guardian Calls, and the upcoming Rio’s Law
• Exploring and enjoying Georgia Safari
These experiences help students build workplace readiness, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and leadership skills in engaging, real-world environments.
Georgia CTI is incredibly thankful for our continued partnership with GVRA, whose support helps make these meaningful G.R.O.W. experiences possible for students across the state. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer brings!

Congratulations to graduating senior Jessa Bredemann from Creekview High School! 🎉
Jessa will be attending North Georgia Technical College this fall to pursue Cosmetology, and we are so excited to see where her future takes her.
According to her adviser, Ed Walker, “For four years, Jessa has participated in every Fall Leadership and Spring Leadership session. She has been chapter President for 3 years and her leadership will be missed.”
Jessa says her favorite CTI memory was singing the National Anthem at Spring Leadership Conference in 2024.
Congratulations, Jessa! Georgia CTI is proud of you and wishes you the very best in your next chapter!
