Our Clean Energy Roadshow partner, hard at work…

Propane autogas vehicles are highly resilient in disasters such as a hurricane. Propane has a stable supply chain and is often available even when gasoline and diesel supplies are disrupted. Propane can be stored on-site in large quantities, making it easier for fleets to remain operational during emergencies. Additionally, autogas vehicles require less infrastructure, such as electricity for refueling. These factors are the reason autogas vehicles using the Alliance AutoGas bifuel system were able to directly assist the Hurricane Helene recovery effort. Propane autogas is a dependable alternative fuel for keeping fleets running smoothly when access to conventional fuels is limited.

Diana Mikelski, director of transportation for Township High School District 211 in Illinois, says:
"When we first got propane special ed buses, teachers asked, 'What's different?'
We said, 'What do you mean?'
We tell the teachers about the propane school bus, and we hear that their students have had much better behavior after riding on the propane buses."
