Summer learning in action! Winder Elementary is hosting Extended School Year (ESY), supporting Barrow County students with continued services beyond the regular school year. 💙💚

We are excited to welcome our new employees to the Barrow BOLD team! We held the first of three Barrow Basics sessions. Our new employees learned more about our school district and met key personnel. Thank you to Peach State Federal Credit Union for supporting our new employees and providing snacks.

Barrow County teams are partnering with other school districts and emergency responders to enhance school safety. Members of the Barrow County School System, Barrow County Sheriff's Office, and Barrow County Emergency Management Services, along with Georgia State Representative Holt Persinger, attended the 2026 Georgia School Safety and Homeland Security Conference to help others through lessons learned and knowledge sharing. The annual conference focuses on the latest measures available and best practices in school safety.
