This shirt might be my favorite artifact of the whole work/life blend thing.

I married Nancy in Jamaica, November 2019. It was the last big party for lots of folks before the pandemic holed most everyone up for a year (or more). I packed pops in my carry-on so I could show my new family what Nick and I had built back home.

The lesson I'm proud of from this is allowing for my work to show up in my life. It makes everything more rich ... more vibrant when you let others in.

I've taken pops to dozens of weddings that we've catered. The company has done hundreds, is just a unique (and sometimes personal) addition to someone's big day.

Some of my favorite convos are first dates and weddings we've been a part of.

I’ve been doing this for 16 years and if I had to guess I will be doing it for 16 more. That’s the hope anyway. That’s the dream. Not enough people do things for long enough.

I love when people put beautiful things into the world for no reason other than to put beautiful things into the world.

From the outside it's refreshing. From the inside it feels like success.

It's hard to be a good parent. It's hard to succeed at work. It's hard to show up for your friends. It's hard to take care of your health.
Still ... you gotta do it.

It's why I'm a fan of Work-Life Blend (not balance). Find the things that check multiple boxes at once. Bring the kid to the event that's also networking. Run with a friend. Build a business with your brother.

Then be okay with being tired. The alternative is having nothing you care about and too much time on your hands.

These are the good old days. Time goes so so fast.

Never could have guessed 16 years ago how special this thing would be.

Fun fact: I was featured in that Budweiser’s We Salute You video for cotton candy sellers.

Definitely one of the highlights of my career for sure 😌
